The sauces were especially delicious and really elevated the whole meal. You can tell they put effort into quality and taste.
If they could reduce the price by $1–2, it would be perfect — but apart from that, everything was excellent. Definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again!
Also, if you drink and like sangria, you should try it.
I ordered the doner kebab sandwich, and it was absolutely outstanding. The meat was perfectly cooked — tender, juicy, and packed with deep, rich flavor. You can immediately tell the doner is prepared with care and quality ingredients. Every bite had a great balance of seasoning, char, and freshness, without being greasy or heavy. It was flavorful in that authentic, comforting way that keeps you wanting more.
The bread was soft and warm, holding everything together beautifully without falling apart. The sauces and toppings were incredibly well balanced — nothing overpowering, just enhancing the flavor of the meat. You could taste how fresh everything was, from the vegetables to the herbs and spices. This wasn’t a fast-food style kebab — this was a crafted, restaurant-quality doner that rivals what you’d get in Europe or the Middle East.
Portion size was generous too. I left satisfied but not weighed down, which is always a great sign. It’s the kind of meal that makes you think, “Yeah… I chose the right place today.”
The atmosphere at Twisted Meats was clean, relaxed, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and efficient, and you could tell they take pride in what they serve. My order came out quickly and looked just as good as it tasted — fresh, hot, and beautifully put together.
If you’re anywhere near Thousand Oaks and craving real, high-quality doner kebab, this place is a must-visit. Whether you’re new to Mediterranean food or already a fan, Twisted Meats delivers on flavor, quality, and consistency.
I will absolutely be coming back — and next time I’m already thinking about trying more from the menu. But that doner kebab sandwich? It’s already a winner in my book.
Highly recommended!
I was very surprised — it tastes exactly like a really good Döner in Germany! The meat is seasoned just the same, the bread and sauces give you that real feeling of home.
This Döner would easily be among the top 5 in Munich, I can 100% recommend it to everyone.
The staff is also very friendly and fast.
Prices are totally fair.
I bought a doner sandwich, and the meat was so stale that I couldn’t even finish it. I got food poisoning from it — I was vomiting half the evening yesterday. This morning, yellow discoloration appeared under my eyes, and so on.
I definitely do not recommend it.
If you don’t want to end up in the hospital, don’t order anything here
From the moment you walk in, you can feel that this isn’t just another BBQ spot — it’s a place run by people who actually care about what they’re serving and who they’re serving it to. The meats are insanely good: perfectly smoked, juicy, deeply flavorful, and clearly handled by people who know exactly what they’re doing. Every bite tastes intentional.
But what really sets Twisted Meats apart is the people.
Lars and Ruben are absolute standouts. Warm, welcoming, genuine — the kind of guys who make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit. You can tell they take pride in their craft and in creating a place where customers feel appreciated, not rushed or treated like a number.
This is comfort food done right, with soul, skill, and hospitality that’s honestly rare these days. Twisted Meats has become a must stop for me in Thousand Oaks, and I’ll be sending everyone I know their way.
If you haven’t been yet, fix that. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
They have German beers on tap too!
