Great atmosphere and loved chatting with Vanessa! Certainly hit up the spot for a good coffee. I would recommend calling first because they have different summer hours than what is listed here on google (open Saturday & Sunday for dinner)!

Great food and great employees! The Thai flatbread was incredible and the brownie looked so good I had to eat it before my pizza was ready. Everything was perfect.
The building is one of the greatest examples of a historic preservation that I’ve ever seen. Everything is also perfectly clean and they even spared no expense – even on their plasticware (none of those cheap, thin spoons or forks that break before your first bite)!
They also cater to events as well as have a gorgeous private room with one of those conference-sized dinner tables you can fit a dozen or so people around. According to the employee that took my order, this gem has been a work in progress for twenty years or so. I don’t know if that’s literal or not, but I’m betting this place has been a lifetime venture either way! You can just tell how much they love their building, their food products, and their customers in just about everything around you. It’s refreshing.
This was a highlight of my brief stop in Helena, and I have no doubt I’ll be back – too bad Texas is so far from here!

Great sandwiches. A+++++
Absolutely the best and worth our detour.
Smiling faces and a happy place. Don’t forget to check out the local art work on the wall.

This place is awesome! And Vanessa, I think?, makes the joint. Passed through town on a lazy Sunday coming out of the National Forest and heading back to Middle Tennessee. So glad I took this route to explore! Helena seems a ghost town. But, to my surprise in the overcast haze, were the neon lights of civilization. I found Bailed Mae’s open in a sea of Closed, and they had just what I needed. Some friendly conversation, thick and bitter coffee just like I take it, and something scrumptious I don’t even know what was! But it was yummy! What a nice respite. Will absolutely return if I’m over that way again. Helena sits right on the Mississippi River across from… Mississippi. The town has clearly seen a better day, and here’s hoping for one again. It has a beautiful, long main drag. But even the jail has gone out of business! Could be a good thing, I suppose. Of note: Just outside of town on the border sits a lovely and very new Arkansas Welcome Center that, while it had free coffee and indoor plumbing, was staffed with someone who understood they were in an “unwelcome” center. It’s been a minute since I was so put off by uppity, sugar-coated rudeness, but I know it when it smacks me upside the face. Disappointing, as The Natural State needs to turn its ship around on its image. Either way, visit Helena! And when you do, spend a minute with Vanessa at Bailee Mae’s!

This is exactly what this town needs. Wonderful food and a relaxing atmosphere with a historic backstory. They also have great coffee and local craft beer. Thoroughly impressed.

Just opened before the festival and need some time to get it together. But being the only coffee place open it’s great.
