OMG we’re from Boston and our first time trying BBQ food and randomly looked it up and this place came up. I’m so glad I tried it. I can’t even describe what was happening to my tastebuds! 10/10 recommend! Affordable food!

I will definitely be back.

HOW hasnt the board of health shut this place DOWN???? Grossest place I’ve ever eaten at. The bathroom was disgusting! the urinal was plugged up with plastic, the toilet hasn’t been cleaned in years. Tables where you eat double as their storage room. Stuff stacked everywhere. Broken tables, dirty chairs. Pans piled up in sink and on counters. The drive thru window was so smeared and greasy, the lady could not see there was a customer there.
Now for the food. It was pretty good and fairly priced. The sauce IS tangy so if you like sweet this is NOT THE PLACE. The loaded potatoe was big. But I didn’t dare eat salads. Would they be safe? Hole in the wall is correct! Never again.

Pros:
I got the lunch special for $16
Everything was delicious, beans, pork ribs, onions, etc.
The front desk service was nice and friendly.

Cons:
I had to go to the restrooms and the only door made me forget about it.
Look around the building until you found the sign that says “entrance” should be more visible

Other than that was good.

Used to go a lot for lunch as I work close by. The more I went the more filthy the place was. Just grimy, dusty and generally not clean. I noticed a lot of the reviews are saying that and thats why I decided to leave this. The food was always ok but it could be hit and miss sometimes as well. It was just too dirty for me to go back. Sorry, the people were always OK.

This was the worst brisket baked potato I have ever eaten. I mean I was literally unable to eat it. The restaurant is filthy dirty and stuff pilled here and there and even the most accessible doorway blocked with pikes of stuff! Avoid at all costs! It’s hard to mess up a baked potato nut they managed to do it in stellar fashion.

Definitely a value play. This is a hole in the wall place, very friendly. Morgan is the owner and she has owned this place for 16 years.

Ribs had good seasoning, brisket a little dry. Carolina style bbq sauce is a nice change up. The potatoes salad feels like something home style from grandma’s house in the 70s with big chunks of dill pickle.

This isn’t a fancy Dallas bbq place, it’s down home.

Restaurants like this should be put on the National Registry of Historic Places. An absolute gem and a Time Machine inside…I hope it never changes, looks like it hasn’t in some time.

Is this the best BBQ in Dallas? Nope. Is it light years better than Dickey’s which is somehow rated higher? 100%. Will I stop here when I’m back in town? 100%.

What more could you ask for in a review? It’s the real deal. Ribs are legit. Could’ve eaten a whole rack.

Oh boy this was a treat!

Sauce, it is all about the sauce. Not to sweet it too sour. Not to hot not too mild. Not to think and not to thin.

It is amazing that the sauce is gold colored because it really is the Goldilocks of just right.

The meats (ribs and brisket this time) were well prepared.

The service was fantastic and made us feel like home even though thousands of miles away. Mike was kind and very generous.

We can’t wait to return!

Families been going there for a long time great barbecue I love the barbecue sauce as of lately I’ve noticed the food quality has been getting poor today we ordered and very disappointed. They chop barbecue on my big potatoes, tasted and had the same consistency as potatoes so it was mushy in my mouth and. Looks like minced meat. Hate to say this but almost like food I feed my puppy bring the old quality of your food back please thank you.
