On today’s episode of trying new places we have New Day Cafe in lake worth. My wife and I ordered coffee, chicken and waffles, starter breakfast- scrambled eggs ham grits and biscuit- and a banana nut waffle. The chicken (under seasoned) looked like very big chicken breasts but were actually really thin slices covered by an enormous amount of tasteless breading. The waffle was good, but nothing to brag about. The eggs were good but didn’t taste like fresh eggs of that makes sense. Ham was way too salty and tasted like spam, but I don’t mind spam so it gets a pass. Grits were good and biscuit was good and not dry. The banana nut waffle was very disappointing, it’s just a regular waffle with regular pecans and banana slices not the caramelized version they advertise. Coffee was good but I don’t think anyone can get regular coffee wrong. Place was a little empty but I didn’t mind that. We paid $42 plus tip for our meal. Would we come again? No. Would I recommend you trying this place out yourself? Also no. But I am not mad about having came here nor would I say not to come. Perhaps you will have a better experience than I did and I would not get the chicken and waffles nor the banana nut waffle.

I had a horrible experience at New Day Cafe. At first, things were okay—we had a short wait, got seated, placed our orders, and were served water and coffee. However, we sat there for over 30 minutes waiting for our food. By the time we were on our third cup of coffee, we finally asked the staff how much longer it would take. They informed us that our ticket somehow never made it to the kitchen and our order was never processed. We ended up paying for the drinks we had and walking out. Terrible service and incredibly poorly managed. Ridiculous!

Stopped by Sunday morning for brunch with my family. Overall we had great service. Young man with curly hair very attentive even though it was a full house. The food was excellent and delicious. Complements to the chefs. Great customer service from the entire staff on the floor. Family had OJ and loved it. I had to have my cup of caffeine (cappuccino) 10/10 definitely recommend it. New favorite brunch spot.

Cute little brunch spot! Good food and great service. They also gave a rose to customers on valentine’s day. Will be back!

First time in. I had the New Day Benedict and that was amazing. The hash browns are not your typical fried potatoes and I think they were the best I’ve had.
My hubs had the Gyro Omlet and said it was excellent. He also had the fresh orange juice and loved that!
Our server Rebecca was also in for her first day and she’s lovely. Everyone is nice and the food is great and the bathroom clean.
We will be back.

This is a charming little spot, and overall, the food hit the mark. My friend and I had a short wait when we arrived (we had added ourselves to the waitlist ahead of time), but it moved quickly. I went with the breakfast tacos, which were tasty, and the hot chocolate ended up being the standout for me. I did notice a hair in my water, but our server handled it right away with a sincere apology. Other than that small hiccup, I really enjoyed the meal.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and a solid variety of dishes on the menu after the rebranding and renovation. I ordered their healthy bowl and it was excellent. One of my friends wasn’t happy with her eggs since they came out a bit runny and not hot enough, which was a letdown. Another friend really liked her Berry blast French toast. As a group, we felt the food was overall very good — portions are generous and the prices are very fair and infact some prices are lowered compared to previous year. Now, where do we see that happening in 2025. I’d definitely suggest giving this brunch spot a try whoever who was previously disappointed with their service. They really came around.

Post hike breakfast spot – last min choice since it was 5 mins away and our kids were starving. I noticed the reviews weren’t great but as a foodie, we were going to give it a shot.
Quickly greeted and seated – one of the 2 positive things.
4 of us in the group – I did not order a plate but had a taste of everyone’s plate.
OJ machine from fresh squeezed oranges was awesome. With a hefty price tag of $6 a glass (whew). Coffee and hot chocolate (which tasted out of a bag)
Long wait for food – nearly 35 mins after ordering and the pancake took an additional 15 mins!!
French toast, chicken fried steak, and chicken & waffles. Everything was tasteless. The kiddo who loves chicken was disappointed they were tenders rather a chicken type patty. Breading was gross – no flavor, just tasted like grease. Same for the chicken fried steak. Scrambled eggs were a bit watery and the pancake was just awful. Flat, not fluffy, rubbery and tasteless.
The price tag for the food was so not worth it. One kiddo gave a 2 out of 10 stars, the other gave a 4. The husband asked we never return.
Service was nothing special. Never were checked on while waiting forever for the food. After the food, maybe twice and had the opportunity for a coffee refill.
Overall not worth $70 to us, unfortunately.

The morning her started out at 5 star experience. But that slowly changed over the course of our breakfast. The food was good. I mean the hash browns were terrible but honestly hashbrowns are usually done wrong anywhere you go now adays so I was prepared not to let that stop me from giving them 5 stars. What did stop me was the service. We got an OBVIOUS new guy. Again I was prepared to not factor that in to the event because I know what its like being a young guy probably going to school and trying to earn a buck. But the kid was non apparent all service. And it wasn’t like he was helping other tables either. He was just not there. Us and everyone else in his section were being helped by the other servers instead and you could just tell that they were stretched thin and actually working. Finally after and hour and fifteen minutes he comes out with our food. All cold and not fresh. Then when it came to the check I handed him a 100$ and he came back and short changed us 20$. 20 DOLLARS. Thats 50% of our whole ticket. Needless to say I was furious and wanted the manager and asked for him. At this point I’d be willing to give 3 stars if the manager resolves this satisfactorily but again a huge fail. I meet Wolf and he gives us our remaining change (19$) and apologizes. He can tell im still not happy but all he can say is I wish I can be in two places at once. Not satisfied with this resolution and I start that very clearly as I get his name. He should have refunded half our check which would have been 20$ we were short changed or at the very least offered a free meal on a less busy day. See how they like it when they have 20$ taken out of their hide versus the hide of a family that is just trying to celebrate an occasion at a local business. I regret ever coming here. It was an awful experience.

We had such a great brunch experience here! The food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Our waitress Val was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without ever feeling overbearing. You can really tell she cares about her guests and takes pride in her work.
Overall, great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We’ll definitely be back huge thanks to Val for making our visit so enjoyable!
