Authentic and so worth it!!!

Not a California resident any longer and the one thing I miss is good Mexican food. Alejandra’s was the cure for that need while I was visiting family and friends. The staff is friendly and welcoming, never leaving you without attention.
The food was exquisite and everything that my neighborhood abuela would make. I got the Chile Rojo with corn tortillas and would eat it again and again if I was able. The meat was tender, smokey, and with a bit of spice, while the beans and rice did their part with the perfect textures and seasoning. I added a little hot salsa (smoked chipotle), which made the plate dance in my mouth hole.
The one drawback on this simple establishment was the lack of a liquor license which precluded my wife from having an actual margerita and instead was offered a wine margerita. She did not partake, I would be interested in anyone that did.
Sans that particular issue, the meal was enjoyable as the food was excellent. Five stars to the chefs.

We had an incredible experience. The service was excellent, the food was so delicious and felt like it was made with care. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the servers came and checked on us regularly to replenish drinks and chips and salsa.

We had a toddler with us and they were so kind and helpful with us. We felt taken care of, not like we were a burden.

We’ll definitely be back.

Still have the best salsa & chips. But the taquitos were soft, not cooked long enough, rice very dry and took a long time to get our food. But they actually have ample lighting now where you can actually read the menu. They could be a little more on the cleaner side. They got all new staff, which is to be expected, but the staff needs improvement on customer service.

We were in town on our way to the Sequoia Park and stopped in for dinner. The servers are very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent with very generous portions! Wound coming back 2 nights later for another great experience.

The most expensive tacos on the strip, I paid $3 more than the other places I went to. I ordered one chicken taco and one carne asada taco. Both had no flavor , they did add a tiny bag of chips, the chips were fresh and perfectly salted !

We did a stopover for the night in Exeter on our way to Sequoia National Park. Dropped in at Alejandra’s for dinner as they seemed to be the only place open. The place had a few customers and the service was good. However the food was a disappointment. The chicken in the enchilada and chimichanga was tasteless and flavourless. The rice was dry. The only saving grace was the salsa. Disappointed

Overall great atmosphere. Food wasn’t as good as the previous Alejandra’s before the fire took the place down. Service was okay. Will I visit again, probably yes.
