This sits next to a body of water and the view is breath taking. I enjoyed sitting and looking at hawks flying by. The food was very good my friend had cajun catfish and I forgot to photograph it but it looked good and my friend said it was amazing. I had the fried chicken straps and fries. It wasn’t over done and very good. I enjoyed it all.

This is an institution. A bit out of the way but definitely worth the effort. They specialize in Catfish and it’s delicious. They also have handcut fries as well as very tasty hushpuppies. The service was very good. They also make pretty good fried pies.

The food was great! I had a little hard time finding McGeHee’s Restaurant, couldn’t be found on Google, then when I called the place, the host who answered the phone did not know the physical address right off, she had to ask. I found it on the Waze app. The server was disengaged and very dry. The atmosphere was great, especially if you go at sunset, very beautiful view!

I happened along this place by accident, breaking down on the 35 and desperately needing something to eat, it must’ve been divine intervention. It’s tucked back off the highway but it’s well worth the detour.
My family and I ordered the catfish dinner and we were all in agreement that it was some of the most flavorful catfish we’ve ever had. The waitress brought out coleslaw and hush puppies with tartar sauce before the meal came out. I figured I would try it even though I didn’t like coleslaw, and now McGeehee’s catfish restaurant has the only coleslaw I have ever liked. The hush puppies were also amazing.
The service from the owner and the waitress was amazing and the view of the valley overlooking the red river was to die for. I’m going to be coming back here Every chance I get with my family from now on.

$25 for a take home order fried catfish and I got no condiments. no tarter sauce or cocktail sauce. catfish was good. but I couldn’t eat it dry like that

This is hands down the best restaurant in America. Not only does the sweetest woman in the world run it, but she treats everyone how anyone would want to be treated. Great people and you literally feel like you are family, like you know them. Anyway, I had to say something because I’ve never felt more at home than here.
