Oh my gosh, it was FRESH and probably the best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. I even burned my tongue because I couldn’t wait to try it! I got three tacos (steak, beef, chicken) and some churros. Those tacos were gone so fast, and I usually can’t eat much in one sitting. I expected to have some leftover, and that was not the case at all. The men working the food truck on Water Street were really nice and professional. I’m not in the area often, but next time I am and I see the food truck open, I’ll put my order in.
I scanned the QR code on the truck and placed my order for pick up. I had to finish some work first, so it worked out perfectly. Many food trucks only take cash, but you can use card or Apple Pay when you place your online order. You can even have it DoorDashed to you if you’re within the radius for that.
Can’t wait to try some elote next time!

I just tried this truck for lunch today and got the birria taco dinner which came with three birria tacos, consume, limes, rice and beans and salsa on the side for $18. I will say that this is pricier than the average around. The tacos themselves were flavorful and the tortillas had a good crunch to them. The consume was also good albeit a bit salty, the rice was a bit bland and just a tad overdone and the beans were liquidy. I liked the salsa but it could use more flavor. Overall, I’d come back and try their tacos but I would skip the dinner combo. Fast and friendly service though.

I recently visited Senior Gordito’s and was thoroughly impressed! The food was incredibly flavorful, with authentic Mexican tastes in every bite. The tacos were fresh, and the salsa had the perfect balance of heat and flavor. The service was also excellent—quick, friendly, and attentive. The most expensive taco truck I have ever been to in my life, tacos are even cheaper in New York and California, I paid 4 dollars per taco plus tax, every other truck sells them for 2.5 dollars, the tacos were good they tasted like tacos but way too expensive, 20 tacos are 70 dollars plus tax while other trucks have them for 50 dollars. Lower the price.

I ordered a pick up order through uber eats at 1:20ish am.
They didnt close until 2am the night I ordered.
They accepted the order on the app.
I arrived there after getting the notification it was complete.
I told them I had an order for ashley,
they went on to say that they received that order but did not make it because they stopped taking orders earlier than usual this night. Usually they close the kitchen 20-30 minutes prior to close.
This night they closed orders 45-50 minutes before closing I guess because I placed my order at 1:20 giving them 40 minutes to prepare it after they accepted it on the app.
I asked why they accepted the order and marked it as complete and had me drive there and wait if they were not accepting orders.
His response was we closed early and I will have to contact uber eats to get my refund.
I immediately tried to get help through uber eats customer service after being told this.
Uber eats went on to say that they marked the order as complete and with it being a pick up order, they cannot issue me a refund even after I explained that the food was never even made and they said they cannot refund my order because I do not meet the criteria for my money back?
I’ve reached out to senior gorditos and uber eats customer service numerous times since my unmade order on the 29th and have yet to get any type refund or solution.
Highly upset because I order from here often because the food is pretty good usually and it’s one of few places still open after I get off my night shifts.
I’m hoping the owner reviews this and can help come to a solution after all the inconvenience caused by them accepting the order and marking it as completed, knowing they did not make it and turned me away.
This is my last attempt to resolve the problem before I just dispute the charge with my bank.

Before I say anything I went to this food truck at 11:30 on shamrock shuffle so I’m sure they had a bad night but the service was not good at all. When we got there they were not busy, we were the only ones there. I ordered the carne asada fries, and 2 churros. They told me it would be a 10 min wait. Literally everyone who ordered after me got their food before me. After 30 min I asked them where my food was and they asked me to wait 2 more minutes. After 5 minutes they finally gave my my food. I got home and opened it to have two not good churros, and “carne asada fries” that left a lake of juice in the plastic bag. They carne asada was also just ground beef… I’m not an expert but I think it’s supposed to be steak. Anyways waited almost 40 min and spent $25 for beef fries and churros.

I ordered walking tacos…meat choice was steak…..so instead of steak I was given chicken….I even ordered in English and Spanish…..walking taco’s steak (carne asada) and I still received chicken. There wasn’t even a line….I was the only person around (probably for good reason….i should’vetook the hint) Meat was super cold and tasteless….no flavor at all….the only saving grace was the freshly made horchata. I will not be going back to Senior Gorditas….anytime…..first time experience…could be a one and done.

I really wanted to like this place, but it is so disappointing. They’ve shorted us multiple times now. First time, we at least didn’t pay for it, but there was a communication error. Second time, we ordered pickup and we were shorted 3 tacos. They refused to refund us for it. So beware about getting ripped off here, it’s more than likely

Just got a quesadilla from them. When picking up, I checked to verify and make sure there there was sour cream in the bag that was tied shut. They were insistent there was, and the order showed that. That was incorrect. False

I’ve tried 90% of the taco trucks in the city and this is easily the best. Birria tacos are my favorite and the steak tacos are a close second. Quality ingredients and super flavorful.
