So, I love long scenic drives hence I travel quite a lot by road. And quality food is non negotiable for many crucial reasons. I chanced upon this restaurant in a corner in a huge mall. Don’t get carried away by the size; their spread is really good.
I ordered Goat Biriyani, which is basically an emotion for a south Indian. And it was WOW! I mean, WOW! The biriyani was well cooked, goat was succulent and soft and delicious. I was happy! And got a masala tea for the road. I’m driving home happier. Thank you Ruby!
Ruby was very helpful in explaining the spread and very hospitable. If I pass thru this way again, damn sure I am coming back here. And my compliments and gratitude to the chef.

While going to West Lafayette IN, this was on our way. Restaurant was within a mall. On Friday after noon – there was no other customer(red sign)-but still I wanted to give it a try.
Tried vegetable platter-mini thali kind of stuff which has rice and two curries(one paneer butter masala and one chick peas). For my other family member – it was paneer butter masala and one dal tadka. I was under the impression that Naan was included but that was not the case and they charged extra for that. Paneer butter masala was okay but seems to have too much tomato catch-up and preservative(as it seems they have very less customers and want to have the same food to last for months). Chola or chick peas the same issues. Dal tadka was real disappointment. Vegetable fried rice – seems to be made a week back and just heated up. Naan was okay. For two people, this came out to be around $36(including taxes) – with food served on disposable and almost self service. Well it seems this is a place where nobody will visit second time.

Great place for North Indian Punjabi food. I ordered Vegetable Korma, tandoori roti and masala tea. It was very delicious and tasty. Never had such perfect veg korma and tandoori roti in Illinois. This is the gem of a place. Definitely ordering indian food from every time I visit Decatur!

I recently visited a restaurant with an amazing concept. They use the old ordering style, similar to Panda Express, where you can order a side and two entrees. The best part is that everything can be made to order and they offer several options. The service was fantastic – the staff member was very thoughtful and helped my wife choose the right items. She even allowed us to sample items before making a decision. All items are listed as mild, but you can make them spicy if you ask. My wife absolutely loved the garlic naan (highly recommended). I also noticed they offer ice cream, which I’ll definitely try next time. If you’re not a fan of curry or haven’t tried it before, I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. The staff will be happy to offer you something to try, and I’m sure you’ll find something you like. This is definitely not one to pass on!

Thank goodness! There is finally an Indian restaurant I can enjoy in Decatur Illinois!! Their butter chicken is delicious, the curry is flavorful and the folks here are very kind and courteous. A family run business. They keep their place pretty immaculate. I can’t wait to go back. I will consume every Lychee drink they have. Food is flavorful but not spicy. It’s all made mild and you can add spice after.
