If I could give more stars, I would. Why wait next door. Rethink your decision and stop in here. Alma is ready to take care of you, service was awesome. Ready for a bloody Mary? Regular or spicy? Well I had the spicy and it was perfectly made, also just enough veggies to munch on too. The breakfast was some of best in town. Portion size and quality of the food was incomparable. The chorizo and eggs was a big hit. The traditional with sausages very tasty. Coffee was even very flavorful. Next time you want to wait , think twice you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to come and try other lunch or dinner options.

I stopped by for lunch on a
Wednesday afternoon after
hiking at Smith Rock.

The dining room was empty
as I reviewed the menu and
ordered Tamales with rice and beans.

The menu offers American and Mexican options for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner.

You will find burgers, sandwiches, burritos, Carne Asada, and much more on
the menu.

I munched on chips with salsa
and received my order in about
twenty minutes with no
problems.

The tamales were good, but
the Guajillo sauce was a
little disappointing.

The rice was moist, and the
refried beans were creamy
with good taste.

I waited for the check, but
had to walk to the counter
to pay.

Located on Veterans Way in
Redmond around the corner
from Fred Meyer.

A nice place to stop for a bite
to eat with solid food, friendly
service, and a number of menu
options for breakfast, lunch,
and dinner.

I thought about giving them a 1 star so nobody else finds out about this place! The food is fresh and delicious. I’ve started coming here twice a week. I’ve been to most Mexican restaurants in Redmond and Bend and MI Cielo has been my favorite. All the ingredients are fresh and made/prepared daily. They do breakfast, which is very good, and some other lunch items like cheeseburgers, which I haven’t tried yet. A fantastic restaurant go to!

Hidden gem. We had just landed in Redmond and, because of a short layover, had had no time to eat lunch. Mi Cielo was perfect for a Mexican lunch. The salsa is hand-made daily. The food is Oaxacan-style and out of this world. Affordable pricing, excellent staff that cares about customers, and a normal wait time. The horchata was great. We will be back for breakfast on our way back home. Don’t miss this jewel!

This morning my wife and I stopped in for breakfast. I have wanted to try this spot for breakfast ever since I got a take out order awhile back, which was fantastic.
We arrived about 9:30 in the morning, and were the only ones there. We were seated immediately by the lady behind the counter, which is the owner (her husband is the cook). Another couple came in halfway through our meal.
My wife ordered the huevos rancheros, and wanted to replace the corn torts w/flour torts, which they were happy to accommodate. I know right! Geez honey… I ordered huevos rancheros as well, and added chorizo ($4 upcharge). I also got the machaca burrito. Forgive me please for the mostly eaten photo of the huevos plate – we were starving! But as you can see, the burrito was massive! Must have weighed 2 lbs!. The huevos plates were not wimpy either. The rice and beans are very tasty, obviously made from scratch. The ranchera sauce was delish, and the chorizo was a clutch addition. The burrito was great as well, but make sure that you get a lot of their house salsa, be cause its sooo good and made the burrito exceptional.
The place is well decorated with painted murals on all the walls, and hardly any noise coming from the kitchen. My wife visited the bathroom once we arrived, and she said it was very clean and smelled pleasant. The dining area was also clean and well organized.
I will return with my wife to treat her to lunch someday soon.

This spot is ridiculously good. They were super quick with my order. I had the south of the border omelet packed with chorizo. These guys are amazing best breakfast I’ve had in years. Very casual vibe good family run joint. I will add that I was going to a place next door but the line was too long. So glad I gave this spot a try. Next time I’m in Oregon I’m making a stop here even if it’s out of the way

Very nice décor inside and clean. The menu has a variety of mexican dishes. I had the ground beef burrito covered in enchilada sauce and it was more than I could eat but very good.

My wife and I recently had our wedding in Redmond and decided to have Mi Cielo make our wedding meal for us that was picked up before the ceremony. The food was absolutely amazing today the least, but that is not what this review is about… this family went above and beyond for our day. They completely exceeded customer expectations. They didn’t know us from anything and took it upon themselves to come in to their restaurant on a Sunday, a day that they’re closed, at 4:30 AM to make our wedding meal for us. On top of that they threw in some original recipe food that was different from what we ordered, which we loved, because they wanted us to experience the original recipe. It’s my understanding they are closing their restaurant next month, but this review wasn’t meant to be left for their restaurant, it’s meant to be left for this family and serves as a token of appreciation that there are still good people in this world that care and are willing to go the extra mile for you. We wish them nothing but the best on their new endeavors, and thanks again for everything you did for us.

Our first time discovering this unassuming little Mexican restaurant (next door to Mo’s) filled with warm hearts. We just fell in love with the fresh food and the lovely owner, Alma! She and her chef husband, Celestino, have been in business a long time. While he does Everything in the kitchen, she runs the front restaurant, sharing big beautiful hugs with all who are willing, and offering more warmth and feeling of familia than you’ll find anywhere. We enjoyed the pot roast hash and huevos rancheros, and hope to be back soon for the chili verde and mole! And another wonderful hug too, of course.

This place has very good food! Their customer service is not the greatest! The young waitress that attended us didn’t seem to like her job, not very friendly… Other then that their food is really good. The mixed drink I ordered didn’t have enough alcohol like it should. The place looks nice, when I went we were the only ones in there.
