The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive — exactly what you hope for when enjoying a great dinner downtown.
As a local luxury real estate specialist with PureWest | Christie’s International Real Estate, I’m constantly exploring and recommending the best of the Flathead Valley to my clients. Thai Palace is now firmly on that list. Whether you’re a longtime local or new to Kalispell, this is a must-try.
Supporting local never tasted so good.
What didn’t really stick out was the curry. Green Thai curry was very liquidy and the flavor were also average. Service is quick and the ambience is decent.
Recommended: Yakisoba noodles and Shrimp Fried rice.
We also tried their mango sticky rice with black rice. It wasn’t too sweet and had the right amount of sweetness for our palate.
On the first glance the price might look a bit expensive but it is compensated with the quantity of the food.
The service is a little slow but makes it up with the quality of service and the food.
P.S: It is one of the better option for vegetarians in Kalispell.
It’s pretty pricey for portion sizes, but maybe that’s just Montana. The service was excellent as there were two male servers who kept checking on us. We ordered vegetable fried rice & spring rolls (not pictured as it was brought late) & pad Thai with veggies and tofu. Spice levels are from 1-5 and we usually order #3. Ended up ordering a level 2 as we were told 3 is hot. Unfortunately, I didn’t taste any spice in either dish. Wish I would have gone with a 3 like I first requested. The pad Thai was very bland. Fried rice had a nice flavorful sauce.
After asking for 2 extra plates so we could share food, my husband found a long black hair (2nd photo) in the food. One of the servers quickly took it back & the dish was remade but I had lost my appetite after seeing that.
Every time we go out of state or out of the country, we go to a local Thai restaurant if one is available. Here, there just not enough flavor in the dishes we ordered. I feel I’m being generous by giving them 2 stars, and it’s really only because of the service. I would have never come here again, even if we didn’t find a hair in our food.
The waitress here is super friendly!!!
Mango with sticky rice is a must try.
Basil eggplant could be better if they offer the pork version.
Q to the business owner: why does the entire menu not offer pork?
