A Lemay institution. Off the beaten path, but worth a visit for solid Italian. Some of the best pizza in town and my wife likes their different pasta dishes.
Definitely showing its age and a little dingy, but kind of adds to the ambiance. That, combined with minor issues with prompt service is the reason I took away a star. Price is very reasonable for what you get.
They have a parking lot right next door that should be big enough for a crowded night, but I don’t think they ever get too crowded.

We chose a cheese pizza because we thought it was a safe choice. The pizza came and looked like they put a sheet of plastic fake cheese on it. The “cheese” had a weird flavor and got stuck to every inch of my mouth. We only ate 2 pieces of it and had to toss it. Avoid this place at all costs.

Eating pizza at Cussanelli’s is a decades-long Wessels family tradition. We love filling the upstairs party room with aunts, kids, dads…& ordering pizzas, wine, salads, apps. Their pizza is one of my favorite StL style pies in the area.

They were extremely short handed so I won’t knock the service bc they could only do such with a dining room full of people. However the appetizers you could obviously tell were from a freezer bag. Good prices. The pizza was alright but not to wait an hour for. I love old mom and pop places and my dad loves this place but my first experience was not great.

My sister and brother in law and had dinner here at 5pm. The service was great. Clean, pleasant waitress. Pizza crust was soggy in spots…could have been cooked a bit longer, but then these would have been really burnt. Very good, in other words! Took home leftovers. Will be back. Been coming here for years! Highly recommend!

Service took an hour and 20 minutes for dinner. Ordered filet of sole and a steak. Both were not that good. My husband said not even A1 sauce helped the tough steak. I’ve heard the pizza is good so hopefully something is good there. Bathrooms are extremely old and musty. Think they could update a little. Wouldn’t waste your time. Lots of better steak places

I am new to the area and was excited to try a new place. The service was at minimum, ok. The waitress did not listen well and brought me the wrong salad dressing, forgot my side of vegetables and then brought them in a bowl of cold water with a glop of butter that i was unable to mix together due to them being cold. They also “ran out” of mashed potatoes…at 7:00pm on Valentines Day, (with only five people total in the restaurant?), yet had baked potatoes as an option still. The food was alright, but for $85, it should have been excellent. Also, the atmosphere was very strange. No music, but the people in the kitchen and the staff in the back seemed to be having the time of their lives. Very awkward and not customer oriented at all. Will not be back.

I hate reviewing places, but this is the review I wish I saw before I dined here. This place must have been good at one point. The place was apparently recently purchased and has gone down hill ever since.
Service was friendly even though they were obviously closing shop when we arrived (2 hours before posted closing time). There were 3 other tables and a few people at the bar. We received warm bread over individually wrapped crackers with a plate whipped butter packets to start. I’ve never seen this before, maybe if you ordered soup they wouldn’t have to bring an additional basket.
We both ordered pasta dishes. I had the Alfredo with chicken which was difficult to eat. Tasted as if it was frozen for months, was over salted, and the chicken was microwaved. The chicken was chewy and had fake grill marks on it. The other person in my group had 2 or 3 bites but couldn’t stomach her’s either. Apparently the pizza is supposed to good. I would maybe trust the fried food.
Take a hard pass unless you’re bellying up to the bar for cheap drinks and fried food.

Came here for a night out with friends and wanted great pizza, and we certainly were not disappointed. We had a few appetizers, salad, and two great pizzas. Or server was super sweet and very attentive and or fitted came out hot. Great time overall!

So I found this place by accident. And I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t certain if I should stop or not. I am glad I did. Enjoyed the pretzel bites. Had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Was disappointed about having brine shrimp instead of larger shrimp. But hey it was shrimp. Salad was good. If I could make a suggestion. It would be to have the servers be more attentive and timely. Overall a great place.
