I’ve been staring at the sign that says “we know you have lots of choices and we thank you for choosing us” for 30 minutes and my food both exists and does not exist behind the counter. During this fever dream of a visit there have been a lot of laughs between the 6 of us stuck in this purgatory waiting for our food but I believe I am the only one who saw the swinging sign written in blood reading “abandon hope all ye who order here”. I cannot help but coming to the conclusion that I deserve this. Born into sin and un repentant, I had entered this Taco John’s looking for a cheap way to sate my gluttony and lo have I payed. I watch as others enter, torn whether or not to let them know the trials that await them.
When all hope seemed lost, a serious young man entered to take charge. He quickly assessed the situation and smoothed what he could over with the customers by fervently declaring this was not his fault. Guiding his staff by cursing at them and throwing an occasional bag on the floor, he lead his team into frantic disarray. But through this turmoil, a harder generation of Taco John’s employee emerged. Tempered in the smoke coming out of the microwave where a burrito lay forgotten, they emerged a stronger team. In a mere 15 minutes they managed to eke out the last two orders and my family and I were set free.
Looking back, it was worth the memories. The food may have been abysmal but isn’t it really all about the friends we made along the way?

I ordered the beef burrito and spicy chicken stuffed grilled taco. It was delicious and warm. The staff are pretty nice too, especially the guy who helped me at the register. Will come again!

This taco John’s is terrible in a really funny way. It’s like a bad movie. The truck is always having mishaps. they will give you the oldest sitting on the warmer burrito of all time that you are sure will kill you where the softshell nearly crunches it is so stale. You’re order will get taken by a kid who just sighs right in your face when you order. You will never once get home with the correct order. I only gave it two stars instead of one because amber is really cool and good at her job and none of that bad stuff happens when she is there (except the truck is always screwing up).

They just have the package sauces like the bell, I miss those awesome sauce!!

Update: went again on 11/18. Horrible service. Waited 25 minutes in the lobby for our order. The staff was very unapologetic. As a matter of fact, it didn’t seem to phase them that we were still waiting. When asked how much longer our food would be, they just said our order was being worked on. When our order was finally ready, nothing was very warm. When we got home, the special order quesadillas were made incorrectly. We will never go back to this location.
Ordered several quesadillas. They were freezing cold and completely undercooked. So much so that the cheese wasn’t even melted. Very disappointing to make this discovery after getting home. Also ordered sides of cheese sause that we didnt get home with. The girl taking the orders didn’t bother making sure she spelled the names correctly for the orders so when the names were being called nobody knew if it was their order or not. Will not be returning to this location any time soon.

They are constantly out of stuff. All the time. Wait time is crazy despite there being no other customers in drive thru. Management here needs to get it together and make sure the restaurant they’re running is stocked. Employees aren’t very friendly probably because the place is ran so poorly id hate my job too if i were them. I used to stop here frequently because of the convenient location to me but I think ill avoid this location until they can fix their issues. It’s not worth the hassle to not even be able to order what you want because they’re out and having to wait 20+ minutes to get it.
