Stopped by Schoop’s in Tinley Park and left seriously impressed. If you’re craving a classic smash burger done right, this place delivers in spades. The burger was perfectly crisped on the edges, juicy in the middle, and stacked with fresh toppings that didn’t overpower the beef. It’s the kind of burger that hits that nostalgic sweet spot—like a diner-style masterpiece with just the right amount of indulgence.
What really surprised me was the house salad. You don’t usually expect much from a side salad at a burger joint, but Schoop’s clearly puts care into theirs. Crisp greens, ripe tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and a tangy dressing that tied it all together—fresh, balanced, and a great complement to the richness of the burger.

This Place was AMAZING. The waitress/owner was phenomenal. The Irish Nachos/Fries was Freaking Fabulous . The Burgers was fresh but a little dry, other then that, the food was Absolutely Amazing and Service Was Beyond Amazing. Me and My family drove 30 minutes to eat here and it was so worth it. I will definitely be back. Best Burgers & Service Around

This place makes the best smash burgers. The double cheeseburger is massive so even the single cheeseburger is huge. I’m in a meat coma right now. I think I even put Schoops above Culver’s in quality. It’s a nice little diner styled place. Good vibe.

Unfortunately, we don’t get here often enough. Whether you’re in the area or have to travel a bit to get here, give it a try. Not just because the food is excellent but also because the owner (who will probably be waiting on your table) is a sweet, hard working, wonderful human being.

The food was just ok on my last visit, my onion rings were a lil over cooked. It took 10mins for someone to come to the counter just for me to place an order. Waiting to receive the food was even crazier. I guess they have one cook, one person taking orders, prepping order, sitting people and cashing out. Good food but be prepared to wait and mind you it really wasn’t many people patronizing at the time.

While it doesn’t have a huge dining room, it is quaintly decorated with throwback paintings of Green River milkshakes too banana split Sundays floating down the Chicago River has all the bridges go up to let it go by. You will be hard-pressed to find a better hamburger than this place (and a close second portillo’s down the street). Don’t be shy with the menu because everything is well done!

I decided to stop by the one in Tinley Park after being in the area. I am a fan of the Calumet City location. I got it to go of course. The customer service was wonderful. She was nice, and very welcoming. The cheeseburger was good, and the fries. I did not dip in the bag for fries while driving. Please make sure you give this place a try when you’re in Tinley Park.

Stopped at Schoops on a Sunday evening. Not too busy, however, it took a while for the lady to take our order. It seems like she was running both the cash register & waitressing. Despite the delay, she was friendly & patient while taking our order. Once our food was brought to us, it did not disappointment. Definitely a good alternative to those chain fast-food restaurants. Will definitely visit again.
