What a mistake I made by going to this place. People be aware that prices are not posted at the restaurant. Therefore, they’ll charge you whatever they want. They offer overpriced and under quality food. No wonder the place was empty when I visited at lunch time. The $20 plate of ox tail was almost the size of my hand. I have very small hands. They charged me $1.80 for three fried plantains. The rice was extremely wet. It tasted like soup. The pasteles have a weird taste. The seasoning is horrible. If you are looking for authentic pasteles, then this is not the place.

I was genuinely looking forward to enjoying a traditional Puerto Rican dish, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. I ordered the Sancocho, a dish known for being hearty and comforting, and was surprised to receive a very small portion — especially considering the $20 price tag. While the flavor was decent, the serving size was far from satisfying. Sancocho is a beloved staple often enjoyed in generous portions, and this felt more like an appetizer than a main course. For the price, I expected not only a more substantial amount, but also a more complete and satisfying dining experience. I understand that restaurants have rising costs, but the value simply wasn’t there. I hope the management reconsiders their pricing or portion sizes moving forward, as I left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.

What a deception! Horrible food. My alcapurria de guineo was more like an ocean flavored gummy bear!!It was soooo salty and chewy.
My husband ordered the Oxtail and the server tells him in spanish, “It’s the most expensive dish we have”,(Prices not posted anywhere)… my hubby still wanted the oxtail with rice. The price $20.00 ok…worth it IF….IFFFFFFF it was good…it was NOT!!!!
Hubby needs a double dose of blood pressure medication today! Super salty, just like the salt blocks I used to feed my hamsters!
Side note: It says Puerto Rican restaurant- only the decorations were PR! NOT authentic Puerto Rican food AT ALL!

Came in on a Saturday at around 11:45 and there were already a few people ordering takeout. To start, we had an alcapurria (fritter) to share. The flavor was good but I wish there was more pork filling inside and that it was a little less oily. I ordered the Cuban, which they said would take 10-15 minutes. My BF had some plate of rice and pork (premade) with plantains. Both are pretty large portions and we were only able to eat half. He said his dish was pretty greasy. I tried it and it wasn’t bad but I’m glad I got my Cuban.
My other complaint was that I wish they had other hot sauces besides Texas Pete. We found this place because we were looking for a quick/cheap lunch spot in the area, but I don’t think I liked it enough to come back.

The rice and beans are amazing!! So much flavor. The pork was nice and soft. All this food for 9 dollars. Went back for lunch for the rest of the week. Highly recommended spot. Also try their empanadas!

New owners food not as good as before.
Ordered a steak sandwich barely any meat, smothered in mayo ketchup.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, usually sandwiches in spanish restaurants are made with spanish bread or a hero this was made on a kaiser roll.
Waste of money.

It’s Saturday around 3:30 p.m. decided to visit after a few years of not being in the area and greatly disappointed. Hubby threw his out and I tried to capture the rice appear and taste a few days old. Plantains hard and dried out.
