Seriously, I just waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes. The fries were way overcooked, sandwiches were cold, $21. I just couldn’t accept that, I was just going to return the fries then realized the sandwiches were cold. So, refund. I was handing back the food and she said, just keep it.
Opened it up completely at home, no burgers? The bread isn’t toasted either.
What the heck? I will return because this is a first. Regardless, what on Earth is happening there today???

THE ONLY time I will go to this sonic is if I see Janice or James working!!!! They are the absolute best! Janice is always so nice! They have never messed up my orders! And we are drink junkies .Always try to be fast even if its busy. EVERY SINGLE time I have tried to go when one of them is not working, it has been trash or they mess something up!! Not even kidding. If they aren’t working I drive to 291/23rd!

Definitely the last time I actually tip at Sonic using my card and before I get food. Is it really so hard to not put the sauce on a burger when asked? From this point on, I will only tip after I see the food. This happens too often at these places. The people cooking dont actually read the order.

This place is only good when the older lady is at the window and running the store. I was there this evening, on December 11th at 9 15 pm 2025, and the staff was so slow, they kept getting on their phone. It took them 15 minutes of me waiting, for them to make one medium master shake and 2 sundaes. So irritating. They wouldn’t even give me any updates.

The service at the E. 24 hwy location in Independence, MO. is terrible and seems to be getting worse every time I visit. Last time I was there, I spent over 20 minutes in the drive-thru with only 1 car ahead of me. (Not really living up to the “sonic” moniker in my oinion)My wife stopped there yesterday and nobody answered the drive-thru speaker to take her order even though they had just talked to the one car ahead of her in line. After waiting over 5 minutes with no response, she decided to leave and went somewhere else. These kind of instances have been happening frequently for the last few months. I doubt I will ever go back to this location and I’m very wary of this happening at other locations.
Also, the parking lot has been riddled with pot holes for a couple of years now.
Very disappointed in my Sonic experience.

Wanna sit in the drive thru for horrible service and below par food for over 20 minutes then this restaurant is for you. I came to this sonic literally for a blast with 2 cars in front of me to be told their speaker is broken pull to the window and sat there until 4 other cars behind me pulled up and drove off till is said screw it and left to. sat in the drive thru for 5 mins tonight and could not get anyone to answer the speaker. left and went to taco bell next door instead, where I got more food for less $$ anyway. saw other cars pull up to the speaker and stalls and drive away w no food, too.

This location is extremely careless when making doordash orders. I ordered 3 drinks…to be told they are out of slushies. So I settled for one soft drink. THEY DIDNT EVEN SEND THE DASHER A STRAW.
