I didn’t know what to expect, but I was blown away by the food, service, atmosphere, and view!

I’m from MD and had my fair share of crab cakes, but these are now on my TOP 3! Seafood risotto and grilled oysters are a must too.

Even though they’ve only been open for a few months… I can honestly say this is the best restaurant in Ocean City and is now my go-to spot.

Thank you for a memorable experience!

Fantastic! Awesome! YUM! It’s a beautifully designed restaurant with a spectacular setting on the bay. The relaxing & peaceful atmosphere immediately puts you in the state of mind that this is going to be a great night! From the professionally made unique drinks to the rum cake dessert, nothing disappoints. Service was superb. Timing of the appetizers & meals were perfect. A must is getting the melt in your mouth Housemade Bread. The Drunken Clams and Roasted Oysters were tender and bursting with flavors that didn’t overpower the seafood. The Whole Fried Red Snapper, along with the no-fillers Taylor’s Island Crab Cake and Seafood Risotto, were clear winners. We shared the rum cake with the blueberry sauce. A perfect ending. We left full and quite happy! There was a slight chill in the air on 9/20. They have beautiful & warm shawls available for the customers. A very luxurious touch in an elegant restaurant. We will be back again & again!

We had such an amazing experience at The Hideaway! It’s been instantly added to our rotation of top Ocean City restaurants. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is top-tier, making you feel like you’ve been transported from the beach to a charming Greek island.

While the ambiance set the perfect stage, the food was the star of the show. We ordered the snapper, and it was absolutely the hit of the night—perfectly cooked, fresh, and incredibly flavorful.

The service was just as impressive. Our waitress, Tonya, was fantastic and attentive throughout the entire meal. We especially loved the personal touch of the owner, Leighton, stopping by our table to say hi. It shows a real pride in the experience they’re creating for their guests. The Hideaway is the complete package, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful outdoor restaurant overlooking the inlet! We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes which came with pimento cheese topped with crab. The whole red snapper was delicious and meaty. This place is a gem!

Best kept secret!!! One of the newer restaurants to open in OC! Make sure you get the snapper! And I hate paying for bread but do it here. Get the bread bowl. The fried green tomatoes are in my top 5. As for beverages: the Watermelon Fizz is fun. Also the desserts are amazing. Great pastry chef at this place. And the view and ambiance make this far better than other places in OC. It is on the expensive side but the dishes are worth it.

I almost don’t want to review this place so that I can keep some secrets to myself and have a few special places that only I know about. But when a place gets everything right and makes you feel like you are at a 5 star White Lotus style dining experience you have to give it praise. The ambience from the bay water view, the lighting, and the table layout makes you feel like you are on a paradise island. The service was inviting and knowledgeable, and the food matched if not exceeded the service and ambiance.

The clam and garlic appetizer was cooked just right and tasted as described.

I had the red snapper as a main entree. This is a goto fish that I’ve ordered time and time again at other places. It’s very common in the Caribbean, Jamaica and in South American counties like Colombia. So I was blown away that in all my travels this crispy delite was by far one of the tastiest versions of the traditional dish. Crispy, light and perfectly seasoned.

Lastly I had the Strawberry
Tiramisu. The fresh strawberries paired with a creamy filling was a unique and delicious take on a dessert classic that had me moaning out loud.

I can’t say enough about what a great Monday evening we had on Labor Day weekend celebrating my daughter’s birthday. The food was so good and the atmosphere was fantastic. But most importantly, all the staff treated us like we were VIPs. They were so friendly and welcoming and wanted to know everything about our family. Hats off to the Hideaway for an evening and meal I don’t think we well ever forget.

We had a lovely dinner here on Monday night after reading about it in a FB group. I made reservations for our party of 4 a few days earlier. The restaurant is just beautiful with the palm trees, tables on the beach, and view of the sunset! Drinks were fantastic. We LOVED the Key Lime Crush. We ordered the bread and Baba ghanoush appetizers and they were delicious. The servers were great and dinners were tasty too. The only complaint I’d have is the amount of food for the price. I got the seafood risotto and it had 2 scallops, 2 shrimp and a sprinkling of crab on top for $52. So if you don’t mind spending a lot of money for a beautiful Key West like atmosphere, then give it a go. I’ll come back but it might just be for drinks and appetizers.

We really enjoyed dinner at the Hideaway. Like others have already stated, the setting is beautiful and classic. The staff very friendly and attentive. The food was creative, beautifully plated, and delicious. It was so relaxing sitting at bayside watching the shimmering water and the glorious setting sun. After talking to the manager, it appears they have plans to create more options for vegan and vegetarian diners. I can’t wait to eat here again.

We had a great time at the brand new Hideaway! View and atmosphere was great at the south bar. Ben and Kendra gave us great service. We had a few different drinks and they were all good. The food was worth coming back for. We had the baba ganoush, which we wouldn’t normally order, and the fried green tomatoes. My only complaint would be that we would have liked to have at least 1 more piece of the fried tomato so there was enough for the toppings. It was only served with 2 pieces but plenty of toppings and crab meat. Both dishes were delicious. We would return!
