We chose this place solely on the name, being that we live in and love our Houston pho. This place did not disappoint. Very good! We had the fried chicken dumplings that came with various sauces. They were hot and tasty, and the carrot and cabbage salad was perfecto. My Pho Tai Gan was as legit as can handle. Hot and clean tasting. My son had a banmi and the guy was so proud of it, he called it the star of the show. I’ve never seen a better looking French bread! We will be back if we are ever in town again. It’s a little out of the way, but worth it!

We used to frequent and love this place until yesterday; the Banh Mi was always a must and we enjoyed the “combo” which was the sandwich and a canned drink included. Yesterday I visited with a friend and ordered the usual, including two Banh Mi pork “combos” and the waiter got our drink order (included) and acknowledged the “combo” as still active; we got our order and as usual the food was good but much to our chagrin when it came time to pay we were charged for the drinks; a lady behind the counter let us know that the “combo” was no more.
In a “normal” world, they would have honored our “combos” as the waiter had acknowledged them being active but I guess in this abnormal world we’re in, the lady behind the counter thought it was more important to get her $3.50 for the drinks, forget our patronage and the waiter forgo his tip; sadly, this is going to be our last trip here. If an owner has the gall to trade customers for $3.50 so be it- that’s the price she paid to forgo our business.

This place is new to Rio Grande City and I’m finally glad RGC has a good Vietnamese spot. The service from the employees and manager/owner are very good, friendly, and fast. The food has generous portions and taste very good. I had the “Pho Tai Bo Vien” (Pho Soup with sliced filet mignon beef and meatballs), and it was delicious! Hot and savory. Authentic Pho. I also got the “Com Ga Nuong Hot Ga” or (grilled chicken with rice and fried egg). Again, very delicious, and generous portions. I highly recommend those two main dishes. To finish I had a Thai Tea which was refreshing. Overall, I will be back!

My boyfriend and I are here from Houston visiting and we happened to drive by this place and had to try it. As soon as we walked in we knew the food was gonna be good. We both ordered a soup dish and were each more than satisfied. We also ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and they were sooo good! I definitely would recommend checking this place out!

For the first time I ordered a to go plate and asked if I could get oxtail added to my order in which the worker stated it would be an extra $6 dollars and I said it would be okay. When I opened my food this is what I was charged 6 dllrs for and it was not edible at all, the oxtail was extremely tough and unable to be chewed like it had been in the fridge for days. Very dissatisfied

Great menus options. And huge plates. Loved the BUN GA NUONG CHA GIO and PHO TOM. Not sure what the sauce was called but it was yum…

I love the calm music/ambiance! I have gone a couple times and they’re always so sweet to our toddlers even when they’re being rambunctious .
WARNING: The pho is addicting!!!
