When Tatte first opened their pastries were really good.
I’ve been to several locations now and all their pastries are stale or dry without enough filling or flavorless.
This is disappointing as the sandwiches and other main options are all consistently pretty good.

I hate to write a bad review because I used to love going to Tatte, but they haven’t been doing enough lately. I went there on a lunch date with my kiddo and ordered the tomato and goat cheese scrambled egg plate. The in person menu has no photos like on the website, so I assumed the word “plate” means that it’s big enough to be shared and will have some small sides. Alas, I received this sad thing. 1 spoonful of goat cheese and only 4 little tomatoes. It tasted good but wasn’t enough to justify the price. However, I also ordered the pistachio latte, which was pretty good and fun to try. I hope they try better next time we come!

Many experiences, all on different occasions.
A. Ordered sandwich with two poached eggs but it arrived with just one. Asked in-person TWICE for another egg but it never arrived. Attitude of the server was quite poor.
B. Ordered coffee – server didn’t ask for the size and delivered a small. I mean, if you aren’t asking for what size I want, at least deliver the medium.
C. They don’t know the ingredients in the food they serve – they can only tell you what allergens the food contains – which makes their baked food no different from cheap supermarkets.
D. Unclean plates. Very unclean. See the photo.

This place is new and sparkling clean. Very spacious. Indoor and outdoor seating. Free wifi. I usually only get coffee but have had their croissants which are very good. Their food looks delicious. Very friendly staff.

I recently visited Tatte Bakery in Bethesda Kenwood, and it was exactly the pick-me-up I needed! This spacious bakery provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for meeting friends, colleagues, or spending quality time with family. The selection of pastries was impressive including gluten-free options, which were a delightful surprise. My latte was rich and creamy, and pairing it with the pear tart was a match made in heaven. I highly recommend trying the cherry pistachio tart and the apple pie as well—they’re simply delicious! The staff were friendly, attentive, and brought our order right to our table, making us feel well taken care of. The only hiccup was with the clearing staff, who were a bit clumsy, but it didn’t take away from the overall wonderful experience. I can’t wait to return!

I just had an awful meal. The eggs are overcooked but everything else was majorly undercooked. The potatoes pancakes were white on one side and barely brown on the other. The toast had no business being called toast, I was served bread. The bacon texture was rubber and artificially smoked. One bite of each item was enough to know I’ll never be a patron of this location again. I’m also baffled why they refuse to have ketchup.

The New Tatte has a wonderful open floor plan wonderful for chats with friend and family. You even a special someone with nice open plan and comfortable atmosphere not loud at all. With the nice open windows and a good day of weather.You can really enjoy your coffee and Cake.
I chose a black tea with the upside down orange cake. The upside down Orange cake was totally exquisite.The citrus of the orange is not strong.Sweetness is just right.It is a wonderful wonderful dessert and it’s also complimented very well with this black tea, kind of a bitter suite combination.
The manager was very knowledgeable about everything that was here and she gave me some suggestions which I am very pleased with so nice.Thank you so much.
The bathrooms are very clean & parking is free Omg right DC free parking WHATTTTT.

Went here for a quick lunch. We had the broccoli-red cabbage-hummus pita sandwich, halloumi cheese with fried egg sandwich, and tomato basil soup. Everything tasted great. Service at the counter to order was tepid but the folks sending the food were attentive. One has to put away trays and dishes afterwards. Tipping is optional. Parking is available as it’s in the same area as a Giant grocery store. A few students hanging out to try create that vibe. Tons of people during our visit. Sitting in the bar was fine.
