Such a pleasant experience! The staff was really friendly and attentive, and the lo mein and General Tso’s chicken were both delicious. Everything came out hot and flavorful, and the portions were generous. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

The staff was very nice and polite however the food was not good. I ordered the kung po chicken and the chicken was super soft and chewy. It had a very fake/cheap texture to it and actually made me throw it all away. I also ordered cheese wontons ( crab Rangoon) which were barely filled with anything and undercooked as well.

It’s a dingy little place but a mainstay for the French and Transit neighborhood. It’s also a run of a mill place so don’t expect exceptions or inquire things you’ll not normally find. Just good old fashion Chinese-American 200 simplified menu item gluttonous goodness.

Ordered food here yesterday, what happened new owners or something? Wonton soup was terrible, steamed dumplings were cold, Kung Po chicken didn’t taste like chicken at all, we have been going here for a very long time but I think it’s time for a change.

Food didn’t have much flavor. Got the beef fried rice which didn’t seem to even be fried. Had no onions as other places have in the rice and was flavorless.Sweet and sour chicken had sauce that had an odd taste to it and tasted like a tin can. Dumplings were fried nicely but had no flavor and the restaurant was quite dirty. Could use a deep cleaning. Expected better food from the place based on the reviews and location

Used to love this place when I was a kid. Family always used to go here and get take out Chinese and it was great. Recently the family members that used to run it have mostly left — their brothers/uncles/etc have been put in charge.
Absolutely abhorrent good and a disgrace to those who ran it before. Star Garden and Green Jade are right down the street — would HIGHLY recommend going to them instead.
I got chicken in garlic sauce tonight — it might as well have been chicken in water. Honestly such a shame & I was sad because I always loved this place. Cannot recommend to anybody.

I’ve come to the decision this is the best Chinese in the Cheektowaga area. I once stopped in when I was sick and really enjoyed everything but didn’t know if it was just because I was sick or not. After trying again multiple times, my suspicions we’re confirmed. The egg rolls are great, the soup is so good and the broth actually has a distinct flavor. Great Wonton Soup but the Chicken Rice which a lot of places don’t always have is one of my favorites. General Tso’s is excellent and you get to choose your spiciness level. I especially like their Beef Teriyaki. And alsways get Shrimp Toast. The staff is always friendly and they even sometimes give you free samples. Love Great Wok!

Long waiting time and poor communication. The staff was overwhelmed, taking many orders with very limited staff.and they didn’t explain any reason for the delay. Every time when i asked how long it’d take to get my food they kept saying “1 second please” ” 1 second please”…… Very disappointing service.

Overall very dissapointing. I ordered the sesame chicken and there was literally 2 pieces that has sesame seeds on it. While the chicken was just ok, the rice had no flavor and the pork in the rice was hard and rubbery. The lo mein was so salty it was unedible. The egg roll was more roll than anything else. The prices are very good and while you do get quite a bit for your money, it’s so dissapointing that it’s not really worth it.
