Great, simple food. Seems to be family-run. Excellent service. Small restaurant with a family atmosphere. Definitely enjoyed our cheeseburger and Philly cheese steak. Fairly simple menu, but the dishes all looked delicious. Lots of locals who were greeted as friends and frequent visitors. Very pleasant atmosphere.
When in town, we will return.

Very solid seafood experience!! Save room for dessert, or even better, start with it because the extensive list is homemade!! The fried Catfish was succulent and cooked perfectly. The sides were tasty, especially the Potato Salad and Onion Petals !! Did I mention how good the Coconut Custard pie was?!?! If you’re traveling Rt 17, stop in Tappahannock and enjoy a delicious leisurely lunch or dinner that won’t break the bank !!!

If it wern’t for the slow service during a slow time (there was hardly anyone else in there) I’d probably give it a 5 star. The food was great! We ordered old bay chips and crab ball for apps and friend shrimp & crab cake sandwitch for meal. All of it was delicious!

One of my favorite places for lunch. I had my hamburger (well done) with onion rings. The service is great, it always reminds me of an old 50s dinner, everyone is friendly. Stop by in you’re ever passing through Tappahannock, Virginia.

Food was absolutely amazing. The burger melted in my mouth. All the ingredients were extremely fresh and delicious. Every member of the staff was super friendly. Definitely fair priced as well for what you get. Highly recommend.

We stopped here on a recommendation from a local and we are very glad we did. When we came in it was just before dinner and the staff was very friendly and seated us quickly. We ordered our food and it came out pretty quick. While we were eating, the place started filling up, so we picked the perfect time to come in as they definitely were busy for dinner.
Everything we ordered was great. I got a fried pork chop and my wife got a fried catfish platter. Excellent food and cooked just like we asked.
I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area. Worth the visit.

The only thing I would change in this review is if I could give it more than five stars… Fantastic service, the atmosphere was great, food was amazing.The owner is so very kind, are all the other employees, they want to make sure that you enjoy your meal and your time at this wonderful restaurant! We live about 50 minutes…we visit Tappahannock often! Can’t wait to go back!

Very clean and friendly staff. Gave it a truly southern feel. Our waitress Taylor was very attentive and got our food out quickly. Even the customers were very friendly and wished us a blessed day. My son loves nearby and it’s his favorite for lunch and dinner i would recommend you check it out.

Will definitely be back here! Food was like my grandma cooked it, delicious and seasoned with love. They got us in quick (no wait) on a Saturday and the staff was so sweet and friendly. Definitely gives family friendly vibes and has that local atmosphere which makes it feel so special.
