Been coming here for a while now and it’s my favorite Mexican place in Newport. Food is authentic, drinks are good, and staff is always friendly. Those enchiladas verdes are incredible!
Great atmosphere too. Definitely my go-to spot when I’m craving Mexican food.

I’ve only been here three times, but I’ve never had a bad experience. This is very authentic, Mexican food, and the portions are very generous. If I weren’t on such a strict diet because I’m such a self-loathing fat pig, I would come here several times a week. The staff are absolutely wonderful people as well. Very fair prices. I’m not a drinker, but i’ve been there with my drinking friends who say the drinks are generous and fairly priced.

We LOVE this Mexican restaurant! From the outside it doesn’t look like much.. looks are deceiving in this case as this restaurant is authentic Mexican cuisine & one of the best we’ve been to.. We’ve eaten here a few times now & each time we are more impressed. The service is super fast, but not pushy.. the serving sizes are impressive. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is GREAT & the Margaritas too! ! Our server Catherine was knowledgeable about the menu & right on it when we needed drink refills 🙂 We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I am always amazed how fast the food arrives after ordering, no matter how busy they are. I enjoy their verity of tacos and of course a tasty margarita. The before dinner nachos with salsa get consumed quickly. Tonight the salsa had a bit of a kick according to my wife. Thankfully she had some water to cool the heat.

Mixed review for me here.
I came as soon as they opened, so I know that factors in.
The prices are actually super fair, I pleasantly surprised by that.
I got the $19 super dinner meal thing idk.
it came on two plates. Lot of food for the price. It wasn’t really that good I took most to go. But I did see what other people were getting any that looked amazing so I probably got the wrong thing or a it was a one off. I think I’ll actually go back and update this later.

Went here for lunch with my girl after visiting a customer for work. I will say looks are deceiving because when you drive by it doesn’t look that great but when you order food, that’s another story. The food was awesome. The house spicy sauce was great too!

2nd visit. Sharing the menus for both the bar & grill
I’m a margarita connoisseur, I was not impressed with their margaritas due to a poor choice of sour mix they use!
I hope they change it up soon and start using one of the many way better choices. They’ll sell a heck of a lot more margarita’s once they do! I was expecting more considering. The food was good and the service was excellent.

2/15/24 – Whenever I venture into NH, for some inexplicable reason, I always hunt down a Mexican restaurant. Jalisco didn’t disappoint. It was 11 am when we arrived. Now, I’m not one to be the first through the door at a restaurant, but hunger got the best of us. We were met by Daniel, whom I’ve affectionately dubbed Daniel Boone. Daniel even caught me snapping photos of the restaurant as I strolled in, and he shamelessly posed through the window. You might even spot him if you zoom in—caught in the act, haha! Daniel Boone is one cool dude.. I highly doubt he knows the reference, but his beaming smile, paired with the vibrant Mexican-style decor, set the tone. Although tempted, I resisted the urge for a margarita; it was a tad too early. However, the coffee hit the spot. My meal arrived warm and delicious, with the quesadillas stealing the show. And don’t get me started on the flan—it was divine! Daniel checked on us multiple times, ensuring we lacked nothing. As I settled in, Colombian ballenato music filled the air, adding to the cozy atmosphere; it’s like my sister nation welcoming me home. Being family-owned, this restaurant had that special touch you can’t find in chain establishments. Jalisco’s cuisine lived up to its reputation, striking a perfect balance between cheesy and spicy. Daniel even shared directions to a local dairy farm for milk. Following his guidance led us on a picturesque riverside drive, complete with a charming covered bridge—a rarity these days. We stumbled upon a gem of a place, which I’ll likely review tomorrow after fetching my milk. I recommend this place and ask for Daniel and tell him you saw my review .
