Came from Idaho to visit family and they took us to eat dinner here. I had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and a dinner roll and my husband had a patty melt and fries. Food was great and my husband was pleased that the bread on his patty melt was not soggy like other places he has eaten at. If I lived in Iowa I would definitely be a regular customer.

Chicken fried steak is extremely small for the price. Didn’t look or tase homemade. I’m sure it was a frozen product. The broccoli today was not steamed correctly. Some pieces were warm and others were cold.

I had the pleasure of eating here today for the first time. The restaurant is family friendly and very welcoming. I especially appreciated the generous space between tables and large booths.The servers were warm, friendly and accommodating. Very attentive, but not intrusive. There is a wide variety of menu offerings and breakfast is served all day. Food is excellent and portion size is very good. Our party ate several different dishes and everyone was extremely complimentary of their meal.

Beyond awful! Walked in 7:25pm immediately when walking in the staff made comments to each other that 2 more people just walked in and they were annoyed.
Our server came over we both stated we wanted prime rib she tells us no they have already started to wrap it for the night.
We select ribeye steaks she tells us only 1. We select another option fried chicken. She goes to place our order in the system and coworkers tell her we couldn’t order chicken. The staff were chatting to each other about our orders and she goes I don’t even want to go over they will leave.
Very unprofessional staff!! Lack of food at an open restaurant or laziness of staff who just didn’t want to cook last 45 mins. Unacceptable!

When we walked in, we were greated right away with big smiles! We thought it was pretty nice that you can seat yourself. The Family Table most impressed me with the large variety they offer! The drink menu was complete with sodas, beer, and wine. The lunch and dinner menu includes everything from burgers and sandwiches to salad and pasta. The onion rings and nachos are a great snack. There were so many creative burgers on the menu, it was hard to decide which one to try. We tried the whiskey swiss burger (swiss cheese, bacon, onion rings, and homemade whiskey sauce piled on top of a juicy hamburger patty)- oh my goodness! The prime rib queso sandwich with grilled onions and peppers was fantastic as well. We were so glad we got the crinkle-cut sweet potato fries! They were cooked perfectly and paired great with that homemade ranch! For dessert, they serve different flavors of Blue Bunny Ice Cream alongside fresh-baked pies and cheesecakes which are made daily in-house. Wish it was closer to my house, can’t wait to go back to Eagle Grove!

A quaint, clean little diner with absolutely stellar prices. The “side” of pancakes were the size of a full order! We stopped by for breakfast in a Sunday and were served pretty much immediately. They appeared to have an ice cream counter, as well.

The food there is great! Last time I was there I had the fried pickle Burger and it was so huge and delicious! And their fries are incredible! The time before that I had their tenderloin and that was also delicious. Which is really really good and they give you a really big piece!!
