Loved this place. Really tasty food, good prices and generous portions. The quality of the ingredients were awesome too. Very fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and beef. everything was seasoned really well.
Their meatballs are really tasty.
Service was quick and the restaurant is cozy.
I saw other vietnamese people eating at the time i went (i was pretty early at around 10am for a late breakfast/early lunch) and if the people there are the same ethnicity i usually trust the food is good. and the food was AWESOME.
i did have to drive around to look for parking as i didn’t know the area well enough at first, but it wasn’t so full that there’s nowhere to park.

Solid pho place for Tacoma, we got the beef pho which had very tender slices of beef and the grilled pork bowl which had generous portions and was delicious. The spring rolls were fresh and paired well with the peanut sauce.

Best Pho in Tacoma. People may say Pho King around the corner is the best, but that’s just because they haven’t eaten here yet. This is where the local Vietnamese and Cambodian people eat because it’s legit.

They literally only have pho and spring rolls on the menu. The place was busy. Tables were a nice size. You seat yourself. Took only a few mins for our bowls to come out. The pho was cloudy and not really that hot. I don’t think I’d be back to this place.

If Google allowed half-stars, I’d give this place a 4.5. Pho Bac Cafe was pretty good, I would say better than your average pho place. The broth was good, but definitely not the best I’ve had. I did particularly like the meatballs in the combination pho though. I don’t know if most places use the same frozen meatballs, but both the texture and flavor were better than every other pho place I’ve tried meatballs at. I usually avoid meatballs at pho places, but a friend had recommended I try them at Pho Bac Cafe. Not a major minus, but I had asked for no tripe in my combination and got some anyway. Service was also pretty typical for a pho restaurant. That said, if you are in the area and want pho, Pho Bac Cafe isn’t a bad choice.

The husband brought me here because I was sick and thought some pho would do the trick. And my goodness, he was right. This is the 4th pho place we’d gone to after our favorite place closed down. The brisket pho is SO GOOD❤️ The owner was wonderful in making sure to take excellent care of us during dining in.

Well-balanced broth and tender beef slices. Ordered the Combo, it was perfect. Came to the table hot, fresh slices of onion and cilantro. No additions to broth needed, taste it as it is served before you personalize it with the extras. Craving satisfied.

Don’t even bother with any others… If you’re DTP (Down to Pho), this is where to go. Best broth out of any places I have tried in the greater Tacoma area.
