Great for smoothies, skip the food! I visit this location often because the mobile ordering is so reliable and the staff is friendly. Every time I order ahead, it’s ready for pickup the second I walk in. While most of the smoothies are good, I wasn’t a fan of the kale salad (very small portion and bitter). Plenty of parking in the lot makes it an easy pit stop.

Last time I ordered the Almond Banana protein smoothie, it seemed like there was too much protein and the taste wasn’t great. When I visited again, I mentioned this and even spoke to the manager. He was very nice and personally made the smoothie for me. The customer service was excellent, and the manager’s attitude really made a difference. I’ll definitely come back again.

I tried the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap and the Thai Chicken Wrap for breakfast. Both wraps were fresh, light, and perfect for a simple morning meal—not too heavy or overly fancy. The flavors were new to my spicy tastebuds, though they didn’t quite hit my personal preferences. However, I didn’t dislike them either!
If you’re a fan of pineapple, I’d recommend the Caribbean Jerk wrap—it’s an interesting and unique combination that stands out. Overall, it was a decent experience for a light breakfast.

I ordered Buffalo Chicken wrap, no sauces in it, and wanted it to be on the side. My extra side was the baked lays chips. My smoothie was an Island Punch smoothie, no Turbinado (an extra sweetner).
When we got home, my Buffalo Chicken wrap had the ranch in it. The sauces on the side, it was less than halfway, I was very surprised it was given to me this way, which barely is enough in the containers. I would have preferred a dry wrap and added the sauces in when I wanted
My husband ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich. When he ordered, the cashier kept saying Chicken Bacon ranch, he corrected her and then moved forward. The cashier repeated our entire order, only to find out our food was this way.
I understand Tropical Smoothie café recently opened in Hackensack. I am excited this move is finally here. We saw that the employees were working hard to assure speed and accuracy. However, my recommendations are that if an order is repeated for accuracy, the food should be followed with directions, too.
Staff was friendly, all payments are accepted, and big parking is shared within the shopping center. The area was clean, and everything was organized well to find out where to pick up orders.
I will return when things take some time. I know it’s going to work out well. Best wishes on the grand opening in Hackensack.

Really wanted to like this place. Was craving an açaí bowl and wanted to try someplace new so stopped by here today. Super clean and new space. Ordered. For $13, the bowl is smaller than most competitors in the area but ok. Sat down to eat. Once I got through the toppings (they were good) the base was frozen solid. They unfortunately prep all their açaí bases and freeze them but don’t defrost for serving. Makes no sense. Had to leave and let it sit on my car dash as I finished my errands. 30 min later at home I still can’t eat it.
If you’re going to prep food, which is standard and fine, prep it properly to be served to dine in customers. Nobody wants a frozen solid açaí bowl.

I’m new to the area and spotted the cafe. I went inside fifteen minutes before they were about to close. The lady working frowned up her face, when we came through the door. The first thing she said was what do you we want and they already cleaned up for the night. Please work on your customer service, because you never know who could be coming in to get service.

This was my first time at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. First, let me start by talking about the service. They were so slow and acted like you have 3 years to wait. The acai bowl was not even fresh as I saw them take pre-packaged frozen bowls out of the freezer. The acai tastes so watered down and the fruit was unripe and had little to no taste. This disappointing bowl was so small and not worth the price. Almost $12 for a very small bowl with bad base and bad fruit is absolutely ridiculous. This bowl made me sick to my stomach and ended up getting sick later on. I WILL DEFINITELY NEVER COME HERE AND DO NOT RECOMMEND.
