I recently had the chance to visit Hacienda Mexican Grill with a larger group, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, providing excellent service and making sure everyone was taken care of. It’s not always easy handling a big party, but they did it effortlessly and with a great attitude.
The food was absolutely delicious—everything came out fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from a great Mexican restaurant. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality and portions we received.
The atmosphere was also on point—clean, welcoming, and just the right vibe whether you’re out with family, friends, or just grabbing a casual meal.
What makes this visit even better is that I had actually passed by this place before and made a mental note to come back for lunch someday. I’m really glad I did, and now it’s definitely going to be a regular stop for me.
Highly recommend giving Hacienda Mexican Grill a try—you won’t be disappointed!

Hacienda is my favorite local Mexican spot. They have the best birria tacos that I’ve ever had and they are always incredibly kind and the service is great. The margaritas are so good too. For something a little more unique try the sangrita (margarita with sangria). Every dish I’ve had at Hacienda has been top notch. Other Mexican restaurants in the area don’t compare.

I love this place. The waiters are very nice and hospitable. We got a waiter quickly after we sat down. We got the chance to order quickly after telling what drinks and appetisers we wanted. The food came out very quickly and no, it wasn’t old it was hot and fresh. The place was fairly busy too so it’s not like we were the only ones. I got steak fajitas and they were amazing. The meat was tender and juicy. It was seasoned amazingly and had a kick to it. The tortillas and toppings were fresh and the portions were great. I got 3 tortillas and they were overloaded by how much meat there was. You can easily order an extra tortilla or 2. It was an affordable and fair price. I highly recommend this place with amazing service, vibe, and food.

Amazing food. Definitely the best mexican food I’ve had in years. Prices are slightly above average and parking can ample. I ordered the carne asada and I cant believe I ate the whole thing including the rice and beans. Normally I can never finish the whole plate but I finished it this time. Great for families and I will return.

Diner here was great. Arrived around 5:45 and we were seated and served promptly. Salsa was delicious with chunks onions a cilantro in it. We both ordered vegetarian dinners(quesadilla and Chile relleno). They were both heavy on the cheese but no complaints there. My dinner came with a guac salad which was some of the best guacamole I gave ever eaten. I will eat here again when I am in the area.

Great Mexican food with nice atmosphere. Covered outdoor seating is available with some unique Mexican decor. Chips and salsa was kept filled while waiting for our food. Ordered soft tacos and steak quesadillas that were as good as anything local.

I would not know where you could find better (flavorful, not drowned in cheese, breaded, fried) vegetarian chile relleno in the Birmingham area.. Salsa for crispy chips comes in a carafe and the house hot sauce is solid, Service is fast and attentive, and the price is on the value side.
You can have a long conversations where the line runs between folk art and Kitsch but I do like the whimsical decoration and admire the individuality that creates and shines through such decor.
