Social Profile:

We are La Malinche Coffee & Tea House, and we’ve been a coffee shop and tea house here in Chicago, IL, since 2021. We offer coffee, tea, paninis, chilaquiles, artisan fruit tea, cafe de olla, and much more. We started this business because we had one in Mexico and we decided to bring our magic here and we want to educate people on the historical figure La Malinche. We’re looking forward to partnering with the Pilsen, West Loop, and Bronzeville neighborhoods to continue to offer a premier coffee shop experience. We’d like to personally invite you to stop by for one of our lattes, today!

Cafe featuring Mexican and Latin American flavors and flair. Loved the colorful art murals and decor.

Food and pastries we got were solid and the dirty abuelita was delicious.

Definitely worth stopping by, there’s a good amount of street parking once you get off Halstead.

The drinks were good, your basic café fare. The food was the most disappointing, not very memorable but definitely will do the job if you’re looking for a quick bite. I had a muffin and the cassanova crepe, along with the iced Matcha latte. Crepes are made in house, bakery goods are not.

The stars of this local café are the atmosphere, staff, and other patrons. It’s a beautiful local spot with charming empolyees, and chill customers. Have a coffee or tea, bring your laptop, or current project you are working on… relax and be productive you will fwel welcomed and at ease. This is the place for it.

Great vibe, great coffee, plenty of seating. Good for a lighter snack, we were hungry and ordered a salad and avocado toast.

This is the reason Starbucks & Dunkin don’t go out of business. Never been to a coffee shop were they charge you for cream. Maybe oak milk & almond milk but cream I almost got charged for the cup & ice. They want to have a business and not lose any money. To many fees for watery coffee.

Update, you respond saying that the The item in the picture IS NOT IN OUR MENU hahaha look at you’re receipt. It’s literally inside your establishment. Maybe you should redo you’re menu & prices and maybe add some tomatoes cilantro to your avocado toast. That way it won’t look sad & nasty I ate it because I paid to much money for 3 coffees & some toast with Aldis guacamole.

Passed by after work meeting for quick bite and gotta say, I was amazed.

Great art and environment, friendly staff and although I only bought a yogurt cup and croissant, the croissant was perfectly crispy/light and yogurt cup great flavors, add almonds they won’t be shy with it!

Will come back next time I’m in the area.

I LOVEEE this place. All the people are nice, they have GREAT staff and better items and I truly love how kind they are. They ARE busy but they’ve great timing for sit down and to-go orders. Literally my go to! A cute cafe, and while you can sit and study there just know peak times are PEAK BABY! 10/10 love it I go often ❤️

i got the cajeta latte which i unfortunately wasn’t a huge fan of, but their triple s sandwich was really good. Altogether, i paid around $15 which isn’t bad at all for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. not to mention, the sandwich is a pretty large size as well. I would definitely come back for their sandwiches and maybe try a different drink

I prefer supporting small businesses; however, the additional credit card fees and extra charges for basic items made the experience less appealing. The food and coffee quality were underwhelming, and the service could have been more attentive and welcoming. For these reasons, I will continue to support Starbucks & Jumpin Bean. That place is not a real coffee shop.

La Malinche Coffee & Tea House is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a place where connections are built and love stories unfold. I recently visited with a couple for a photo session, and I can absolutely see why this place holds significance in their relationship.

The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with stunning murals, cozy seating, and a warm, artistic ambiance that makes you want to stay for hours. The cultural elements woven into the decor add so much personality to the space. It feels like a love letter to tradition, art, and good company.

And let’s talk about the coffee—it hits! ☕ Smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed, every sip was an experience in itself. Whether you’re here for a quick caffeine fix or to soak in the energy of the space, this spot delivers.

If you’re looking for a place to create memories, enjoy great coffee, and experience a unique atmosphere, La Malinche is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!
