First time trying rice rolls and now I am addicted. The beef and shrimp version was incredible. Silky smooth. I had the house made dumplings and they were superb. Prices are very good value and portions were generous. Can’t wait to come back to try the congee. Outstanding service too by the friendly staff.

This is one of my favorite chain restaurant for authentic Cantonese breakfast. I used to go to Toronto to eat this. Then stores opened up in NY. Finally they made it here to my hometown of Quincy.
The chang fen is just as good as I remembered it. Super soft slurpy skin outside and fillings are packed full of flavor. You can pick from shrimp, pork, beef or a combo of two and other varieties. It’s like a meal in itself. They also have congee of different types. To go with the congee, order the fried dough and dip it into the congee or soy milk. Best combo ever. We also ordered the soy sauce noodle, it was on point.

This is a soft opening and line was long. So give yourself some extra time.

As a Chinese American this restaurant felt very nostalgic and homely. The food was flavorful and cozy, but overall eating experience could be improved.

Food: Everything we ordered basically tasted as good as these simpler comfort food can taste, but it is a treat to find this authentic taste outside of historic Chinatowns. The rice rolls specifically were so springy and fun to eat. This is the type of food you can clear plate after plate.

Service: We went pretty soon after opening and there are some service aspects they can continue to improve on like queue management and the seating arrangement.

Atmosphere: In a way the noise and hectic energy was nostalgic. The constant bustle of families wrangling their kids and food service really floods the small space. But without that nostalgic veneer and the joy of seeing family’s where you might have been decades ago, the dining experience can definitely be more streamlined and customer friendly.

Yin Ji Chang Fen is a chain of Cantonese rice roll shops, with multiple across the east coast (this one being the first in the Boston area)

The place itself is smaller, with multiple tables, but a majority of them only seating 2 people. The service is quick and efficient, and the food comes out quickly.

We got the pork jook and multiple of the rice rolls. The rice rolls aren’t too oily and have a good flavor, maybe a lil bland without the soy sauce, but is still pretty good. The jook does have a slight ginger scent, but contains no ginger within it. It also is on the soupy side, not overly thick. Portion size is big, and has a good ratio of toppings within it.

Small new cafe still soft opening, but most likely you will have to sign the waiting list hanging on the right side of the entrance. It served breakfast and lunch food. They are very good and reasonably priced.

Hello? Why didn’t I know about this food gem earlier! Now I seriously don’t have to drive to Toronto anymore for their congee and rice rolls, this is literally so good. The congee was the perfect texture and it wasn’t watery at all. Totes recommend!

Probably my favorite rice roll spot in Quincy!

The rice rolls were silky and thin. They are generous with the fillings too. Same with the congee!

The space is fairly small so they’re probably going to be a wait during lunch rush.

My favorite was the Beef & Shrimp Rice Rolls and Boat Congee
