Perfect name for the perfect Spur of the Moment or planned place to visit!
We chose this place as a place to go for St Patrick’s Day and it was great.
The steak is great and I Loved the shrimp and of course have to have truffle fries if on the menu.
The serve a great Guinness!
We had the pleasure of Amanda serving us and she was on spot, courtiers and so fast! – so if you want the meat service in the house ask for her!
She showed up every time My drink was empty and had to try another special.
Hate to give away a hidden gem but they deserve the props!
Thank you for a great time! Will be back with the family for the pool tables and shuffle board tables!

The food looks fine but is completely uninspiring. Green chili cheese fries were far and away the best part of this and were pretty good, but that’s about it. The chicken sandwich was one of the blandest things I’ve ever had at a restaurant, even with all the aioli dumped on it. The fried shrimp was okay, and the fried cod was just a flat, sad piece of cod that I’d imagine went straight from the bottom of the freezer to the fryer. The fry mix wasn’t terrible despite that, but it’s nothing above average. Server was also very unenthused and while she was prompt about things, her demeanor made it feel like we were an inconvenience to her.

My husband and I just went to The Spur for the first time today. We ordered the fried pickles and two hamburgers. I was very happy to hear that their beef is locally sourced. The fried pickles were a delicious appetizer. The hamburgers were a little over done but not dry at all. Our waitress was very friendly and agreeable.

Let’s just start by saying that the server was awesome! She is by her self but, she is a rockstar. Kept our drinks topped off and didn’t have time to stop for a breath. The food was good and you get a lot for your money. It did take awhile to get our food and she forgot the appetizer that we ordered but, there was a big group. The establishment is clean and has a nice vibe to it. I do recommend eating at Spur of the Moment but, allow yourself some time.

Who would have thought that a restaurant, out of the way, in Larkspur, would be what the soul needs.
As you walk in, if you are not a local, you get that immediate feeling that maybe I don’t belong. Then…the atmosphere, clean decor, and staff quickly make you feel as if you are one od the locals, and you just got home.
Now, don’t let my words make you think you are eating at a local hole in the wall. This place is well built, clean, lit, and just great atmosphere.
What good is atmosphere if the food is not good, right?
I will say, forgo the chips and queso. We were worried as we started eating it. It was good but gave you the feeling you were eating canned nacho cheese with some stuff thrown in. Oh, so maybe this is a “dive” with great atmosphere.
Well, then put came the Cuban sandwich and truffle fries! All concerns were erased!
Having grown up in Florida and eating Cuban Sandwiches a lot…
Colorado (more specifically Larkspur) just set the standard!
The pork smelled and tasted as if it was cut and shredded directly from the pit for my Sandwich! The delightful Crunch of the outside of the bread and amazing flavor of the inside of the bread hit you! The mix of all the ingredients made me forget that I am off the road in a small town.
Way to go cook and staff! You all are amazing and you do not want to drive past this place and not stop in! For sure will be back!

We’ve tried the spur a few times and it’s always the same story… For some reason, there will be three or four employees just standing around talking and laughing and messing around on their phones while our drinks sit empty for long periods of time! One time, I had to actually walk up to the bar and ask for a beer myself after waiting for my server, who was just standing around and talking and doing nothing productive. It’s just so frustrating and not worth the aggravation. Food comes out of the kitchen extremely slowly as well. Done.

i like the fries a lot. Super good bahn mi sandwich which was an unexpected surprise. Service isn’t that quick but that’s probably because they don’t have a lot of people on staff, but it’s not so slow that it’s annoying. It’s a local place so keep that in mind. The food is really good, the fries are mildly addicting.

We picked up food to go, but atmosphere seemed like a nice local bar & grill. There were families eat and a bar with TVs in the middle. Parking is busy even on a weekday, but there are limited options right there. We didn’t order BBQ, but it smelled really good! Servers were very friendly. Hamburgers were good, but our shrimp breading was really mushy. They forgot one item in a to-go order, but added on a slice of cake along with a true apology. We would go again, but not get the shrimp entree.

We had the best meal after a long day exploring. They were super busy (for good reason) but we got our food hot and delicious in a reasonable time. Our server Amy was so accommodating and helpful.
