We went here for an anniversary dinner while in Belgium and had an incredible experience. The food was quite delectable and was prepared with delicacy. The presentation exceeded my expectations as well. The service was impeccable as the owner visited periodically to ensure we were well taken care of! No walk ins. €50/pax deposit reservations, mostly regulars. Thats how popular this institution is. Old restaurant style setup, clean, tidy but abit of a squeeze.
Staff were efficient, friendly and attentive. Owner was hands on and hospitable. Recommended dishes and took our orders.
The croquettes appetiser was awesome. The fish soup packed a punch and was flavourful. The salmon was moist and tasty with the butter. The skate was perfectly cooked. The seafood medley for 2 was of good portion and delicious. The string beans was simple yet tasty. The desserts were perfect. We had the homemade pastry with vanilla ice cream and the souffle glace au chocolate. Coffee and tea was accompanied with chocolates, biscuits and mini waffles. A classy touch. Simple wonderful.

I was really hoping for a better dining experience at La Belle Maraîchère but I was disappointed. The foie gras was nice but they should have given us more bread and the fish should have come with a sauce.. a bit bland. Not bad but definitely not deserving of its 4.6 rating. The service was lacking too… a bit slow.

I randomly went in there and am glad I did. Service was better than any restaurants i went to in Brussels. I was dining alone but they made sure I was welcomed and comfortable.
Fish soup was very tasty. I would definitely go back there to try out other dishes.

The attention to all of the details was remarkable. This place was wonderful, the atmosphere felt like we were dining at someone’s home. You could really tell the pride the owner and staff have for their restaurant. We did the tasting menu and the foie gras was the most remarkable for me. Beautifully balanced. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Great gastronomic experience! I’ve tried the gourmand menu and it was absolutely divine, and too big for me. It went very good with a glass of red wine… I hope the pictures say it better! Definitely I’ll try it again!!

The Classic of all Classics! This institution at Place Sainte-Catherine has existed for more than two generations. Perfectly executed fish and meat dishes. In hunting season they also have wild meats. Try the Sole Homardine and thank me later! On the expensive side, but worth it!
