My partner and I come in here for dates often. It’s always been the same older gentleman who serves us and his courteous enthusiasm makes our meal so much nicer. The food is always extremely fresh, and very delicious. I’m picky about where I spend my time and money but I never worry about it coming here. It’s well timed and reasonably priced anyway, but if it wasn’t it would still be worth it. Thanks Golden Bowl & crew.

Overall opinion, it is okay. The waitress was a bit abrupt. Food was okay. Another waitress cashed out our check later and was much more pleasant, I guess it can be a roll of the dice. Nothing I would crave or go out of the way for. Also, they “stopped ordering dessert”.

Neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The menu is pretty large and includes some dim sum items. Prices are reasonable and the portion size is good. Nothing stands out but it is a reliable choice for a family meal or take out.

Very clean. Food was quick. Went for mother’s birthday. Can’t wait to go back again. Linen table cloths, unlimited tea. Great for my 5 and 8 year olds.

I’ve been going there for quite sometime now. I’ve dined in with the family on special occasions and had takeout many times. Overall, I like their food. The problem I have with them is inconsistency with the food. Sometimes the food is too bland and sometimes they’re too salty. The dishes I get most of time are shrimp fried rice and hot and sour soup. Their shrimp fried rice is better than many other Chinese restaurants in the area(You taste real shrimp). The general Tso’s chicken is pretty good with real white meat. This time I was in the mood for something different, I ordered their chow fun with duck meat for the first time. I usually get their beef chow fun, and they’re delicious. But duck meat was disappointing. Duck skin was too hard I couldn’t chew and duck fat ruined the whole dish by making it soooo greasy. Most of their dishes are decent but I’ll stay away from chow fun with duck meat next time.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant l, we always order and go here. After living in Hong Kong I can say a lot of their dishes taste like they are from there.

Golden Bowl Ardmore has the best pecking duck that I have ever had. We ordered 1/4 portion and really should had gotten more! Other dishes like beef fried rice and seafood soup were good – standard Chinese restaurant quality, though nothing too outstanding. We went in at around dinner time (7PM), so service was slow with 80% capacity, many takeout orders, and 2 main servers.

Golden Bowl is good solid Cantonese fare. Nothing spicy (even the “Szechuan” or “Thai”) but that’s not what you come here for. You come here for Peking Duck and Dim Sum and Pork Noodle Soup. Service is efficient and caring and prices are very reasonable (Lunch is a steal.) This reminds me of the old school places you’d find in San Francisco or NY Chinatown. Unpretentious grub. 2022 and still the best Peking Duck outside Chinatown (and better that many.)
