Good food takes time, so be advised that, if you don’t order ahead, and you walk up during lunch rush, there will be a bit of a wait. But, no worries because they give you a beeper so you can sit in your car on the lot and relax until your food is ready.
And the food is excellent. My Hibachi Chicken and Scallops is miles better than what you’d get at Fujiyama in Mattoon. They have a wide variety of sushi as well, but I didn’t try any on this trip. I will save that for next time, for I will definitely be back.

Sitting at the edge of Charleston is Kasabi Japanese Hibachi & Sushi, an outstanding food trailer open six days a week for lunch & dinner. The staff is friendly, hard-working, & committed to accuracy. My family has ordered dinner several times & I often carry out for a quick lunch.
The best part: It is within walking distance of my house!
Their hibachi meals are excellent, and there are dozens of sushi options (varying in price) to choose from. It is the best sushi I have ever ever eaten!

Friendly, professional staff and consistently high quality food. Not only amazing sushi (try the EIU Roll!), but also might be the best steak in town. I also recommend trying a Japanese soda if you never have. They’re fun.

We’ve been here twice – the sushi was amazing and so was the boba, although they’ve been out of several things when we ordered. Not really that big of a deal, every restaurant has that happen. Great prices for the serving sizes!
