Simple Life Diner is exactly that. It’s about small town feeling, local diner with daily specials. The yellow perch was fresh and crispy and the pie and cheesecake is to die for. They also sell whole homestyle pies.

Simple Life Diner is hands down one of the best local spots around. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they really care about quality and consistency. The portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick even when they’re busy. It has that classic, comfortable diner feel where you can relax and enjoy your meal.

If you’re looking for a great breakfast or a solid, satisfying meal, Simple Life Diner is definitely worth checking out. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My husband got a burger and fries and he said it was good. I got the chicken quesadilla. I was expecting a flour tortilla which is how every quesadilla I have ever had is made with. This had some kind of thick hard cracker kind of crust. Made it difficult to eat and very messy. Couldn’t even cut it with a fork. While the filling was good, the crust was not. I would never get it again if we were to go there again when we pass that way. We eat out a lot so I feel I’m being fair in my observation as I have had many quesadilla. I love them but not this one. Other food could be ok. Just don’t get the quesadilla.
As others mentioned Waitress(owner) didn’t have much personality, but she got the job done.

I don’t understand any positive reviews for this place. 5 of us ordered the breakfast buffet. It was bad, so bad! The only edible item on my plate was a slice of ham. Someone else tried a donut & it was harder than a hockey puck. Scrambled eggs had a weird taste, same with sausage patties. We all regretted not going elsewhere. Our waitress had zero personality & very unpleasant. (Later learned it was an owner) We will never return.

Food was decent for sure. Definitely seems as if the service is laid back in comparison to the usual.. but that’s OK. Country style restaurant.

A gem in the middle of farm country,21 miles from 80 turnpike off hwy 4 exit near Sandusky Ohio. Amazing food and service. Stop by for the best homemade home cooked food.

Absolutely annihilated the burgers we waited a Godsend on. They were cooked until hockey puck consistency. Looked like they began life as Bubba burger patties from Walmart and ended up as charred dress shoe heels. The buns were “great value” quality also and burned on a flat top before the whole burger was assembled. The veggies, on the other hand, were good, such as thick onion slices, fresh lettuce, and a nice slice of tomato. If this restaurant could try harder, maybe hand forming a patty with some fresh 80/20 on a brioche style bun, cooked medium-well, they’d have some winning burgers. The trucker quality crap they’re slinging now doesn’t cut it in a $12 price point.

Home made pie was just like my Mom’s, she made the best! They stop serving breakfast at 10:30. Too early for me. I had a good salad.
