Fantastic food and accommodating staff. After some rough history with it’s sister location I was wary of trying the canton restaurant.
I’ve eaten here three times since. The dining area was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious.
This barbecue place is well worth the money and has earned mutliple return visits.

First time in NC and decided to eat bbq here because the menu looked good. Service was quick but my food was cold I was visually upset. Unsure if the cook saw our face of instant regret for our choice it was a pleasant surprise when he brought out a fresh chicken breast and and free ribs. Also apologized for any inconvenience. If not for this redemption I would have given this specific location 2 stars.

Had lunch here on a whim- never had bbq from here before and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! This is a legit smokehouse experience- I had sausage with Mac and cheese and potato casserole and my partner had ribs and brisket. All three meat options tasted great! Not dry and well spiced with a great smokiness. Staff was super polite and attrntive to us while we were there- 10/10 will be back!

The store is very clean and the employees are the most kindest of people in any restaurant I’ve been to… such kind people with southern food and the best southern hospitality! Definitely recommend and the food here is top notch delicious!!! Especially the ribs… the ribs are wonderfully smoked to perfection with the combo of the taste with the sauces, let me say delicious is such an understatement for how good these ribs are! Can’t find better ribs anywhere else. Definitely will return there

Very happy to see Dickies open in Canton again! The new owners are a nice couple who know how to run a restaurant with past industry experience. 1st time back was last week and the employees were very kind. They even honored a coupon from previous ownership and in turn I bought more than expected. The pulled pork sandwich was huge and delicious. Took home a tasty coconut cream pie as well. Thank you all for such great service and I will definitely be back again.

Really more like 3.5 stars. BBQ is fresh and well cooked with good flavor. Friendly service. I like the way they take a freshly cooked butt and slice and prepare it right in front of you. Good size portions. Main downside was BBQ had some small bones and too much fat in it. Also were out of some main items, but that may have been because we were there late in the day.

The owners, the crew, the attitude, the atmosphere, it’s all changed now, and definitely for the better. Best barbeque in town for sure, with a team of locals trying to revive the scene for the Canton area.
Dickey’s might be a chain, but bringing your business to this particular franchise is supporting your local business. They’re getting better everyday at serving the community and need our help turning the rating around.
They have the best DD prices, and offer lots of special stuff you can only get in-store as well.
