We loved the mixture of southern states with international cuisine such as the collard green egg rolls. They also have a great mixologist putting together what should be award winning drinks.
It is a 5⭐️ restaurant hiding in plain sight. Run don’t walk!!!
We went on a gloomy Sunday for brunch, which honestly made it feel even more magical because everyone knows finding a quick-seated brunch spot in Atlanta is like finding a parking spot at Trader Joe’s: rare, chaotic, and usually involves a sacrifice. But Oreatha’s came through.
Our waitress was fun, attentive, and clearly clocked that we were out here on an adventure. So she basically curated a mini food tour for us. And we said yes to everything. Zero regrets.
The drinks? Did. Not. Miss. We tried multiple cocktails across the alcohol spectrum — like Pokémon but make it boozy — and every single one was a hit. Even the gin cocktail was delicious, and I don’t even trust gin like that.
Now the food. The FOOD. Incredible. If I have one tiny complaint, it’s the grits. They’re clearly engineered specifically for shrimp & grits greatness — not for the classic “side of grits next to my bacon and eggs.” The creamy onion thing threw me off for a second. But I forgave them instantly because everything else was ridiculous in the best way.
We could’ve eaten the smoked salmon all day like it was a personality trait. And the fried chicken? Crispy, juicy, and blessed by at least three ancestors.
10 out of 10. Going back tomorrow. Love it. Please don’t ever change. And please don’t ever get crowded — I’m begging you.
Take note of the aromas wafting from the kitchen where Chef Lucke smokes the salmon that’s used for those yummy salmon empanadas….so make certain to order your own because you won’t want to share! Portions for the apps & entrees are generous. Our party thoroughly enjoyed the collard greens hush puppies, fried green tomato caprese salad, catfish, smoked pork chop, and the (must try) oxtail lasagna! Try to save room for a crafted cocktail vs dessert & enjoy the blood orange key lime pie and the chocolate bread pudding croissant if you can!
So nice I ate there twice in one weekend! And yes, I will return
