We were in Wilkeson and wanted to get a bite to eat. The options are slim there but we were fine with Pick and Shovel. Our waitress was nice and helpful. I’m sure the saloon part is great but the restaurant side is pretty beat up. It clearly hasn’t been cared for in several years. Probably not a place we’ll go back to.

My now new routine is to stop in once a month as part of the local “Kwooz” to support one of the nearby establishments. I’ve settled on the ‘Really Big Chicken Sandwich’ and the tater tots and some fry sauce. Always cooked to perfection. Portions are quite generous, in fact, I ended up taking more than half of my order home. Our group always has a good time there. Staff is attentive and takes great care of their patrons.

Went for a beautiful afternoon motorcycle ride. Ended up here. First timers. The food was good. Had burgers and fries. The fries were amazing. The drinks were very good. Service was very good also. We will definitely be back!

Food is your regular bar food. They do have a nice selection of wing flavors. Pizza is fine and they have a huge portion of nachos. The drinks are stiff and service is dependant on who you get but everyone is nice.

This place rocks right in the middle of downtown Wilkeson. Outstanding food, great service, and affordable prices all combined for a great atmosphere when you are done hiking in the area. There are two sides to the building. There are the restaurant side and the bar side. On the bar side you can sit and order any adult beverage and food. The restaurant is food but you can order an adult beverage from the bar. Either way the service was amazing. The culinary expert behind the items in the restaurant is a character to behold. Great taste in music and very talented and caring about the food she makes for the customers. Overall a very cool place to visit and enjoy a meal with your favorite cold brews or other drinks. We were so hungry after the hike we forgot to take a photo of the wings we ordered but let me tell you the chicken sandwich with fries was incredible and can be split by a couple. The wings were nice and crispy and the sauce we ordered for them was delicious. We absolutely love this place and will come back on our next adventures around Wilkeson.

Read some negative reviews, but they are all wrong! Wilkeson is a small town filled with great residents and visitors. This is EXACTLY what you will find here! Bartenders/waitresses with personalities and a manager with a sense of humor. Hard to find these days. Locals were easy to talk to.
Good bar food. Did the cheeseburger, as I was craving one on our short day trip. The handcut fries were the highlight…. food wise. Had a fun exchange with the wonderful women working there. Beer cold and quickly delivered. Next meal will be the Taco Pizza. A must going to or coming from Mount Ranier!

I worked 14 hrs at work half asleep and wanted to do date night somewhere different so we came here. The food amazing fries alittle salty but otherwise the pizza and barnyard burger were amazing! Towards the end of our dinner I’m trying to talk to my husband then all of a sudden there is rap music blaring so loud I can’t even think from the kitchen so we are leaving. I’m in a noisy environment all day I just wanted to go somewhere relaxing.

The bartender made great recommendations to my order. The Boinker Burger with all the works (cheese, bacon and PEANUT BUTTER) was very delicious.(Definitely don’t pass on the bacon, they doing something right with that).Tastes phenomenal!. I’ve order it along with the tater tots and some buffalo wings which paired all together so well. Very nice saloon here in this small town. Friendly folk and everyone is enjoying themselves. Excellent service here. WI-FI is great! The beer is good.
Come for happy hour, pool, darts etc.
I plan to make more trips to the park to get to all the points there but, indeed, I will make the trip to Pick & Shovel Saloon on my way back!
