Yawl just happened upon this cute little bistro. Local owned and operated. The food and people were so yummy. The booths are amazing! So comfortable. They offer delicious coffee bar style drinks as well as smoothies. Come on and hype this restaurant

My husband and I went early to the nearby DMV and we were very pleased to find this lovely coffee shop within walking distance! From the outside, the building is pretty nondescript but inside it is very welcoming, clean, and cute! Friendly service and we got food to go that was piping hot and well packaged! We had the honey butta’ chicken biscuit and breakfast bowl and both were great! Latte also very good!
Only thing that could make it better is if somehow you could have the DMV number tracker inside Jay’s as well to see your place in line! Definitely a great place to have close to the DMV and would be amazing to wait and enjoy drinks and food there to make the DMV process a bit less painful. Would at least recommend a sign near/right outside of the DMV as I imagine that could bring in many more customers as well!

As I sit here in Jay’s eating this wonderful food, Im completely appreciative of having this restaurant so close to home. This is my first time dining here and it certainly wont be my last. The dining room is large and the vibe is so mellow with nice music playing as I eat. The staff is great and very helpful. The chefs really know what they’re doing in that kitchen. If you’re looking for a wonderful breakfast/lunch spot, I highly recommend coming here. They really should rename the shrimp and grits to “Sexy Shrimp and Grits”. Try them. You’ll see why.

This spot feels like such a perfect fit for the neighborhood. It’s clean, welcoming, and a really nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal. What sets it apart is the menu — way more food options than your typical coffee shop, with great choices for both breakfast and lunch. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and genuinely tasty. Honestly, if I lived closer, I’d probably be here all the time.

We stopped here on Sunday morning for a quick breakfast as we left Memphis and it was such a lucky find. The outside of the building was nothing special but it held a secret inside. From the welcoming man (that could have been Jay, I should have asked!) at the counter where we ordered with a view of the cooks to the clean dining room with comfortable seating, we anticipated a good meal was ahead. And we were right! I had the pancake platter that came with 2 large pancakes, eggs and a meat (I had crispy bacon.) while my husband had their breakfast platter with eggs, meat, potatoes, and biscuit with cream gravy. Lots of food and it was excellent! Pancakes were nice and thin with a crispy edge that I loved and my husband wanted to lick the bowl that they cream gravy came in! lol

Jay’s has been awesome for me and my partner! We order take out from them semi-regularly and they have never disappointed. The actual restaurant is super clean, and the staff has been so friendly over the phone!
My favorite dish from them is their fried chicken sandwich, which is always so good and has such a huge amount of chicken on it. My husband loves the bacon breakfast burrito, it’s very flavorful! Their fries are seasoned to perfection and the food is always on point. The prices are super fair as well!
This place is a real gem!! Keep up the awesome work!

We have only been here twice but got the biscuits and gravy both times because it is the best we’ve ever had. The staff is so kind, coffee is the best around, and breakfast is delicious. I don’t know why they aren’t packed full of people constantly but they should be! We will return again and again.

Very cute spot owned by the sweetest local nurse. Fantastic breakfast food and sweets. Extremely clean inside, good prices and well worth a stop in an otherwise brunch free area. Theyre working on a liquor license for mimosas, so once that happens – look out!
