This is honestly one of the best Starbucks stores. The customer service here is amazing, it feels very welcoming.
I do understand some of the reviews because sometimes I do come and I’m met with some extremely rude and incompetent individuals. However it doesn’t happen often given how often I visit this store. The good experiences definitely outweigh the bad ones.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received during my visit, specifically because of an employee named Latia. From the moment she began taking my order, her attitude was rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and no basic level of customer service. She made it very clear—through her tone, facial expressions, and body language—that she did not want to be there and that helping customers was an inconvenience.

What made the situation even more uncomfortable was her behavior toward her coworkers while I was standing right there. She was speaking under her breath and making comments to them in a way that was clearly unprofessional and inappropriate. Even her coworkers appeared uncomfortable and visibly tired of her behavior, which says a lot. It created an awkward and unpleasant environment for everyone involved.

Starbucks prides itself on being a welcoming and customer-focused company, but this experience was the complete opposite of what the brand represents. No customer should be made to feel like a burden for simply placing an order. If an employee is unhappy or frustrated at work, that should never be taken out on customers. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses both the attitude and professionalism displayed, because service like this drives customers away.

I don’t ever feel the need to write reviews but today this location really put me over the edge. I’ve given this location so many chances and opportunities but they just keep on disappointing. Service is EXTREMELY slow ALWAYS. I placed a mobile order at 12:00pm and by 12:32pm I was still waiting for my drink to be made. From what I saw, there was a worker working the drive through (not making drinks), another worker working on orders from DoorDash/uber eats etc..and one worker making drinks for the drive through and mobile orders AND in store customers. I was trying to get one of the workers attention but they do not acknowledge your existence at all. It wasn’t until the girl working the drive through came up to me and asked what I was waiting for, I told her and she went up to the girl making ALL of the drinks and then I saw her go to a register pulled out a sticker and started making my drink. So if it wasn’t for that girl checking on me it seems as though the other one never would have checked my order. I waited well over 35 minutes for a roast coffee. Just unbelievable. And my coffee was spilling from the top when I got it (picture below) And on top of that the girl who made couldn’t even look me in the eye or even just a give a little “sorry” for all of that. She just looked straight up miserable to be there. But thank you to the girl working the drive through. She was sweet. Safe to say, I’m good on this location. Literally worth the extra 7 minutes to just go to Nutley.

this is the closest Starbucks to me so it’s usually my go to since it’s not as far as the nutley or glen ridge one. however, if you want fast service and your drinks made correctly, go to the nutley/glenridge starbucks. i have also bought drinks from this starbucks and asked them to be remade at other locations and was told by the workers, “belleville starbucks always messes up drinks, we have people come here all the time asking them to remake it”. half the time i come here i ask for my drink to be remade. the employees also aren’t in a hurry, so if you enjoy waiting well over 15 minutes for one drink, order here. i also usually make my matcha at home, but on occasion i like to treat myself to matcha outside, but sometimes when i get it there’s big chunks of matcha so i have to go home and fix it. 3/5 stars, this starbucks location is just ok

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a Starbucks. The cashier, Latia, had a noticeably bad attitude from the moment I approached the counter. She was dismissive, disrespectful, and clearly uninterested in helping customers.

I asked to speak with a manager, but none were on site. I was told to leave my number for a callback, which honestly feels pointless, hence why I’m leaving this review. To make matters worse, Latia outright refused to take my order just to give me a cup of water. When my friend finished ordering, she waited for her receipt and was abruptly dismissed with, “You’re done,” as if she was an inconvenience.

This is normally my go to Starbucks, but this interaction completely ruined the experience. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was unacceptable. If you come to this location and see Latia working, mi strongly advise avoiding her. Because of this experience, I won’t be returning anytime soon. Poor service like this nah acceptable, especially from a place I used to enjoy.

Placed a mobile order and received a coffee that appeared to be living its own independent life. I returned to the store for a correction, where I was informed, quite confidently by an employee with an impressive attitude that “next time, do not order cookie crumble and chocolate syrup.” Important clarification: I did not order cookie crumble or chocolate syrup. At any point. Ever. While the same cup was reused (totally fine), it still contained an excessive amount of cookie pieces I never asked for to begin with, suggesting the cookies were more committed to this drink than I was.

I do order from this Starbucks pretty often. I have to somewhat agree on other reviews that it can be hit or miss. One thing is that they repeatedly forget to put a cold foam lid on my iced coffees with cold foam in them. I can’t drink the cold foam through the tiny hole. I can tell these employees are overworked and underpaid though. The location is very nice (big inside, comfy places to sit and a nice place for outdoors seating in warm weather) It’s also very clean. As a starbucks addict I do have to admit I prefer the Nutley location for pickups (Belleville does have a drive through and it’s much bigger inside and out). Nutley have the ball sized ice cubes (this one has square ice cubes) and Nutley puts a lot more cold foam and always uses the correct lid.

Ordered and got the worst shaken espresso not only did I have to wait to get my order taken I had to wait while people I was ahead of got their drink I would love a refund bc this is unacceptable. 8 dollars for a half assed coffee. Will not return to this location EVER again

Lia , Sergio , & David. Amazing helpful staff and they also made my drink EXACTLY how I wanted it to the T ! Extremely good , EVERY time I come. They never disappoint! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Starbucks! The staff is always welcoming as well.

I ordered a caramel cappuccino when I received my drink it was half a cup it cost me $5.30 two sips that’s all I got. they literally give me half a cup of cappuccino I’m so upset but will be my last time going there
