I ordered a doner kebab, chicken tikka, and chips from your restaurant in Derby, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality. The food was clearly not fresh and tasted old, especially the doner meat and chicken, which were unpleasant and difficult to eat.
Serving food of this standard is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about your food freshness and hygiene practices. I will not be ordering again and would not recommend your restaurant to others unless major improvements are made.

Delicious fish & chips something we Indians have enjoyed for over 7000 years. This place never fails us but today we are afraid my son asked “Dad these chips have been reheated haven’t they?” I had to agree. They were not of the same freshly fried chips we expect of Zan Fish. Can you taste the difference between Cod and Haddock? Neither can we lol

When you’re paying top money for fish and chips you expect quality but today has been the worst one. I was really disappointed with the tasteless, greasy fish and the amount of black chips I received tonight. Staff are fantastic but at present the food is letting you down, I’d expect it this from Skegness sea front but not Zanfish.

Visited on 20/3/2019 just after 5pm & 30/3/2019 around 8pm
They are selling a family deal @£21.
This include:
2 large fish (haddock or cod— normally £5.1 each)
2 fish cakes/sausages
1 large chips (long box: close to the length of a keyboard)
4 sides (curry, mushy peas, gravy etc)
1 large bottle of Coke
What’s not to love?
Shared it between 3 ladies (age from 20s to 80s) and 1 gentleman 🙂
They also service kebab (under £6 with Salad) and hummus wraps.
Serving time was around 10-15 mins.
The store is quite tidy and neat.
Card payment are also accepted over £5.
A bit daunting to find somewhere to park (got to carefully negotiate your way into the carpark as you cut through the traffic on Blagreaves Lane when travelling from Stenson Road), but it’s worth it!

Very nice food. At the time of visiting, they explained the food was not cross contaminated for a halal diet and all of the meat was halal , apart from the pies! Good quality fish and chips. Good service, always smiling.

Edit. We went again and it was not as good as our other visit. Fish was dry, the person didn’t put greaseproof paper over the top so by the time we got home the peas had soaked into the cardboard. Service not as good. Hit and miss. Depends on who’s serving/cooking that day.
Really great chippy. The fish had the crispiest batter and was very big. The chip portions are large. Great service. We check food hygiene ratings before buying food and they had the top rating of 5. Excellent all round. Definitely recommend.
