Service was super slow. Took forever to order, get our food, and get our check. The food was fine although I don’t think I’ve ever had a marsala sauce before with tomato in it. We went with our friend who is gluten free though and there were lots of options for him (although the gluten free pizza is super expensive).

Have been here a few times with my children and have always enjoyed it. We had dinner for my daughter’s birthday and our server, Lindsay, made it such a special experience. It was also so nice to have a good selection of vegan/dairy free options for my husband.

Great food…big delicious seafood salads with fresh ingredients are so top notch. And the staff (Gerry? Jerry?) was incredibly friendly and kind…she was a pleasure to interact with.
The best in the area. We love this place!

My family and I live in New Jersey, and were visiting the area. We were all hungry for dinner and with me being celiac and my husband being vegan, it’s not easy for us to find something for everyone. But Arosso hit the spot! A fantastic menu to meet our dietary needs, as well as for our family who could eat any and everything. I would highly recommend!

I am always recommending this joint! I have a big group meet up once a year nearby and this is one of the locations I encourage our guests to check out for pizza and pasta. They have the best wings as well! And their gluten-free menu is unparalleled. I’m so glad that—even though they moved buildings, still in the same plaza—Arosso isn’t going anywhere!

We were more than pleasantly surprised by Arosso and their new digs. We were greeted warmly by the owner and were invited to either sit in the casual front counter area or in the dining room. We chose the dining room which was warmly decorated, had plenty of tables with place settings and cloth napkins and had Italian music playing. Our first impression was that Arosso would not disappoint and they didn’t. The service and the food were excellent. We started by sharing a side of meatballs. They were huge and all meat. The sauce was really delicious and very different in consistency and flavor from most Italian restaurants. I ordered two side dishes (broccoli rabe and grilled chicken) which they combined, plated and garnished like a dinner. My husband had the veal marsala with penne. Both meals came with side salads and garlc bread. The chicken and veal were very tender and flavorful. The marsala sauce was light and had lots of mushrooms. We definitely enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and will most certainly be back.

Arosso is spectacular. The menu has options for absolutely everyone. It has burgers and subs, pizza, pasta, gourmet foods, and phenomenal options for vegetarians, vegans, and those that are gluten free. I feel so lucky to have found it and happily return as frequently as I can.

Today, my fiance’ and myself decided to go to Arosso, touch of Italy Italian restaurant. When we lived in the area, we could only eat here, because of Celiac’s disease. It’s probably been close to two years since we have been here, and were looking forward to this as a treat. Upon ordering I was a little taken back by the new extreme shrink-flated prices. But I also understand that they need to make a living too. So if the food is worth it, then it’s not a problem.
We ordered a GF ham and cheese stromboli and a GF Chicken Quesadilla with fries. The stromboli was 32.00 and the quesadilla was 16.00. When I say there was two bites of ham and 4 bites with cheese in little more than half of the stromboli, I’m being extremely generous. I wrote this review from an exact point of view and not my opinion on the situation. You be the judge!, I must warn you, the pictures are very graphic! Would you pay 50.00 for these two items? When we asked the person inside, she said we got exactly what we are supposed to get. Personally I would have been embarrassed to hand this food to my customers.
Update: the picture of the Stromboli is of the middle section. The ends were all dough and then just some cheese for a couple of inches.
I went to Weis market and bought the new GF wheat flour. I made a pretzel stromboli with ham and cheese. Fresh mozzarella cheese from the cheese area of the deli and fresh chopped ham. The ham was Kreshmar off the bone masterpiece ham.
The total it cost me was just under 15.00 in materials for high end products. Which leads me to believe there was less than 10.00 invested into my dinner that night at Arosso. With a 33% x 3 rule for restaurants. That means at 33.00 for a stromboli, 11.00 for materials, 11.00 for labor and 11.00 for profit is the goal. You be the judge? If I could make it bigger, better, with higher end products. I know these must be very profitable. I will add photos of homemade strombolis, next time I make them, to show the difference between what we use to receive here and what we get now.
Update Dec 12,2024
We ordered again today. I must say redemption is a good thing. The order was as close to perfect as I could expect from a place. There were a few mistakes, but nothing to horrible to worry about. We had ordered 95.00 worth of food, not really busy as it was late at night. The food was great as I remembered. As ordered (GF Italian hoagie, well done hamburger, chicken steak sandwich, crab rounds, curly fries, and couple other sandwiches). Everyone loves the homemade GF rolls as usual. These should be in the frozen section of the supermarket with the strombolis and Calzones. I have traveled all over, been to places that are listed in magazines and none make strombolis or Calzones. So that is already a plus. Then you take the texture, flavor, and thickness of the body of the dough and you have a winner. If you are driving by and must have gluten free, this would be your place to go! Remember everyone has bad days. So don’t be quick to judge off one mistake, as everyone deserves a second chance.

We had a great experience here last night! Tyler our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. They appeared to be homemade and not those frozen kind most places serve. They were super delicious and creamy! Our side salads that came with our entrees were just right. I really enjoyed the balsamic dressing. I loved the garlic dip that came with our delicious complimentary bread. My only con with the dip is that it was served cold. It was really great, but I feel it would be even better served hot. Our entrees were generously sized and we were full and we also took home lots of leftovers! The only negative comment I could make about our entrees is that the “red” sauce on both my spaghetti and sausage and my husbands chicken Parmesan was actually orange and it was a little on the bland side. It was good, of course, but it needed some”zip”. My son annihilated his pizza! He is picky and he ate here like a champ! Overall we enjoyed our experience and we will definitely be back!!!
