Beautiful place and even more beautiful presentation of the dishes. The service was very nice and respectful, especially compared to some other French restaurants. However, I was surprised that they didn’t change the cutlery after the entree and said just keep it. The mushroom soup was great but the duck breast was chewy and too dry in some parts, and the dessert didn’t taste like pistachio at all.

Nicely decorated and very cozy restaurant. It’s slightly out of the way but makes for a nice walk. The benches against the wall are a bit uncomfortable though and don’t suit the rest of the interior. The staff was friendly and can speak some English. The menu is not very extensive, only 3 mains, 3 desserts and around 6 starters but what we tried were all delicious.

I will not gatekeep. This restaurant was fantastic! A few streets over from the tourist restaurants, this French restaurant is delicious, with a calm atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. It was not crowded at all on a weekend night, and I feel like it is a hidden gem of Versailles.

Staff was nice enough to grant me a table without reservation for dinner. The tuna tataki was fresh and light. I had the beef with olive puree it was juicy and flavorful. I had the passion meringue for dessert it was okay abit sweet to my taste i should have sticked to the pistachio creme brûlée. The menu is limited but tasty and for good value of money.

If you’re looking for authentic fabulous french food & wine come here! We stumbled upon this spot after a very long stressful travel day (its behind our Air BnB.) it was the perfect end to our day today. We got to meet the chef & his wife (how cool!) they were so kind, spoke great English and made an awesome team. Did I mention, some of the BEST french cuisine since our start in France a week ago? Come here! You won’t regret it.

Highly recommend ! I found this gem thanks to the review of another traveler.. After Versailles, my friends and I took the brief walk to Chez Stef’s. Upon entering, it’s cozy, calming, and the smells were intoxicating! I had the sea bream and it was absolutely divine! The flavors complimented each other so well, I didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or kiss the chef! Had an amazing pistachio & fruit dessert. The owners are so kind and humble -I hope you go as soon as you finish reading this. My friends and I were so impressed and our bellies were SO happy!

Probable one of the best meals I’ve had in my trip. I ordered the chicken dish plus creme brulee. The waiter was nice and the food was amazing. It’s walking distance to Versailles. I recommend going here instead of the overcrowded restaurants inside Versailles Palace.
