For my birthday, I searched all over The Woodlands for the best brunch spot and landed on Ruah. It had very high ratings, the photos of the food looked great, and the vibe felt perfect. We went this morning and it was exactly the birthday brunch experience I was hoping for. The food is amazing. The coffee is amazing. The staff is amazing. The whole experience was seriously perfect. I had the New York and a pistachio Nutella latte, my fiancée had the Lyon and a chai latte, and we split the Capri. Then they brought a Buenos Aires with Happy Birthday written on the plate. The manager talked to us for a while about the history (and future) of the place. I loved the whole visit and am so glad we found Ruah. It’s a 30 minute drive for us but we will definitely be back. I’d give them 7 stars if I could.

My husband and I tried Ruah Café on a whim one morning and it was wonderful! They were out of most baked goods, but that wasn’t surprising considering it was a Sunday morning. The waitress recommended the Tokyo-LA with scrambled eggs, and it was very good. I ordered a lavender oatmilk latte and it was the right amount of sweetness mixed with espresso. The service was a little slow, but the waitress was managing the entire restaurant herself, so we couldn’t fault her for that. We’ll definitely be back, just a little earlier next time!

Finding Collateral Beauty
I met up with a friend that I hadn’t seen in years. She suggested Ruah Cafe as she had been there previously and really enjoyed it – and I am ALWAYS looking for a new coffee shop to try.

Ruah Cafe hit all the marks. Great coffees – I had the Nutella Pistachio Latte (she had her tried and true favorite, their Vanilla Latte. Great food – we both had the gourmet toasts. The New York for me and the Amsterdam for her. Both of which were apparently too good for me to remember to get a picture of before diving in!

And we were so pleased with our server, Ale. She was amazing and so accommodating for these two gals who had so much to catch up on!

Will definitely be back!!!

Cute coffee shop and breakfast place. There’s about a dozen tables. They serve coffee (I had a vanilla lavender latte that was delicious and beautiful). I also had the Tokyo to LA toast with eggs. The food was good and came out quickly. Friendly service. Would visit again!

Ruah Cafe is the place to be! First, the barista is gifted. I don’t mean good, I mean she can pull a puck like no tomorrow. The resulting vanilla latte, (in my case) or dirty chai, (in Liz’s case) is utterly delectable.
The food is off the chart delicious! Liz and I had the Amsterdam. It is beautifully plated with crispy potatoes, fresh fruit and I am confident the hollandaise was made just for this dish. The side of avocado that we ordered was seasoned as well!
The wait staff know the menu and are courteous as well as expedient, our plates were cleared quickly after we were done and we got just the right amount of attention.
The atmosphere is clean, adequately lit, and nicely spaced, I get a Parisian vibe walking in the door!
Liz and I will put this restaurant in the top of our rotation. It is a small concentrated menu and we look to working our way through it!

Disappointing experience.

Very cute cafe and friendly service.
Latte was made incorrectly. Scolding hot water was added to it and I burnt my tongue. It was basically an Americano. Very thin, no smooth mouthfeel you expect from a proper latte. The milk was not steamed correctly, nor was it incorporated into the espresso. Even though I ordered a caramel latte with whole milk, it tasted like instant coffee with a chemical store bought creamer.
Im not even concerned about totall lack of latte art because if you don’t lay the base the right way, if you have no idea how to stream milk, forget about even the most basic latte art.
If you enjoy quality coffee, DON’T GET IT HERE. I appreciate this awfulness taken off our bill. The “barista” needs some serious training before serving paying customers.
My husband’s latte was basically a desert which was unclear from the menu. He thought he just selected the kind of flavor he wants but got coffee-like desert in a cup. It looked good but it was not a latte.
Crepes sounded good on the menu but in reality they tasted like defrosted thinned out microwaved sauce poured over pre-made ahead of time crepes. Very disappointing and not fresh. We could only stomach half of it.
Don’t see any reason to come back, unfortunately.
The name of the cafe is the only highlight.

Ruah Cafe in the Woodlands has the best coffee around. I had the best latte here. Their food being incredible seals the deal for me. I loved every food item I tried. My favorite is the Puerto Rico toast and Buenos Aires crepe! It’s great as a solo guest, date place or family restaurant!

What a great place to have breakfast. Prices are decent, portions are big and presentation is on spot. Wish I could share the way they brought my prosciutto and arugula sandwich! Another thing I wanted to admit is that they DO use a really tasty and good sourdough bread (which isn’t easy to find here). Service was great and very pleasant environment, finally didn’t feel like you are being rushed out and you can truly enjoy your moment. Can’t wait to be back and try other menu positions!

Definitely recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious — everything tasted fresh and smooth, full of flavor. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming.

The service did take a long time; we waited a little over 45 minutes to be served. However, the staff handled it very kindly. They came to apologize and even offered us a dessert as a courtesy for the delay, which we really appreciated.

Despite the wait, the quality of the food and the way they made it right definitely won me over. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back again!

This is an absolutely lovely place to gather for breakfast or brunch. Either you go there with family or friends, you will not be disappointed. The service is wonderful and the food is amazing! I loved the smoked Roma (prosciutto and burrata) and the Nutella crepe with coffee. The coffee/latte/cappuccino is so delicious! So is the freshly squeezed orange juice. I have been there 3 times and it was always great. And I will definitely be back soon.
