Love was definitely in the air. The southern food was 5 stars. Our waiter River was very kind welcoming and recommended some good mimosas. Will definitely come back for valentine

Pretty cool place! The food was tasty. I had the Cajun style biscuits and gravy. It was a great combination of spicy and flavorful.
The venue was clean and modern.
The service was fairly slow. We waited a fairly long time after being seated before a server came over to take our order. Once we got the order in things sped up a bit.

Went for brunch with our family. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The Fried Green Tomatoes were amazing, honestly the best app ever. Very good!!! We also got deviled eggs which were also good. Kids meal size was generous. Great experience!

Stopped in this Cafe for Saturday dinner on my way out of town and was blown away by the flavors and ambiance of this place. My daughter and I both enjoyed the meals we ordered and complimented the esthetically pleasing decor and layout of the Cafe. If I hadn’t been about to get on the road for a 3 hr drive home, I would have ordered one of their cocktails.
First of all, upon entering, we were greeted by the most friendly man in an apron (owner?) We love friendly customer service and he and his wait staff were so attentive and friendly.
We ordered oysters rockafeller to start, shrimp and grits for me and Rama Burger with sweet potato fries for my girl. I originally wanted the fish and chips but was told they were out. The burger tastes way better than it looks in this pic.
We definitely plan to return and try the other items on the menu. 🙂

Magnolia offers a more upscale yet relaxed atmosphere for dining. It’s definitely not one of those overly noisy, hard to talk types of places. It’s a perfect mixture of upscale atmosphere that meets down home southern food.
The bloody Mary had a Cajun kick, and they offer signature mimosas such as blueberry lemonade. The chicken and waffles were a welcome staple, but don’t be afraid to try something more adventurous.
The vegetarian hash was delish, to my surprise! Full of flavor and texture.
Don’t forget to start with the fried green tomatoes! You can’t go wrong!!

I read a thread on Waterford III that had a lot of good comments about this cafe, so my wife and I tried it today. They somewhat recently got a new GM and a new server (River), and the food and service (and pricing) were great. We will be going back with our son and his wife. I asked for something not on the menu, something I had never tried but had heard of, eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes instead of ham, and River said sure without hesitation. He was nice, and you know what? It was absolutely delicious!

We stopped here for brunch as we were passing thru Wichita. My husband had the chicken and waffles my brother had the hash. They both enjoyed their meal. I had the salad, thank goodness I ordered the side portion rather than the entree size. As I began eating I noted a strange texture. The dressing was lovely, the candied nuts were nice. The lettuce was bad. I pick out pieces that were brown on the end, pieces that were nothing but slime, finally I just gave up. Clearly whomever prepared the salad did not check the lettuce, as it should have been tossed in the compost bin and not served. So, if you eat at Magnolia Cafe- avoid the salad.

The food was really good. We had brunch. The only issue was that the waiter was a bit odd. Still, we would go back again for more shrimp n grits!
