The atmo is white table cloth, pay when you order, and the young lady that took my order had good recommendations. I chose seafood over chicken, clam chowder over salad, but she forget to sell me a desert. I enjoyed a little coffee and lemonade after eating, but it was not espresso or lemoncello. I do like my beverages.
They do offer a wide variety of options in the menu. The serving size is pretty big and we probably over ordered a bit but ended up wasting lots of the food.
If you are an olive person, the green ones are just amazing. Full of flavor and very tasty.
Ordered a veg sandwich and a pasta dish.
They also have beer and wines.
Overall a great lunch experience. Definitely to be tried if you live nearby nor are in the neighborhood.
The food tastes fresh. The prices are about average for the area.
For a meal including pizza , salad , and a soda , I pay between $30 and $40.
The pizza dough is pretty thick and I had trouble finishing a medium sized pizza. On the pictures you can see a medium sized pizza and a small sized pizza. Normally, I do not have problems finishing a tasty pizza.
Important: You order at a counter and then get the food brought to your table. Soda is available from a fountain and you drink out of a paper cup. This setting is fine for informal meals but maybe not appropriate for a business lunch/dinner or a first date.
My negative points are: (1) For an Italian restaurant, I would like to see more pizza choices. (2) Also, I had the same salad (Greek) on several different occasions and the size differed significantly, see pictures. (3) The friendliness of the staff varies a lot and is more on the European side (= not so good). (4) On several occasions, the cutlery was not clean enough and I or my friends had to ask for clean cutlery. (5) For some reason, it never works out when I order “light cheese” on a pizza, I tried several times to explain that I want less cheese.
Meat Tortellini w/ Alfredo Sauce 2 couldn’t taste the meat inside the tortellini, super thick creamy Alfredo sauce, not flavorful
Clam Chowder 3 medium thickness, medium flavorful
The service staff also has a very casual attitude (zero courtesy/professionalism). The same person who takes the order will handle your food/ cutlery – so hygiene is like 2/10.
Cherry on top:
I asked to replace dirty cutlery, the guy at the counter put my dirty spoon back inside the fresh set of cutlery and casually told me “they’re all washed”.
The interior is very cozy, spacious and Italian: checked tablecloths, photos of Italian historic places, tiny Venetian balcony in the dining room. The place has plenty of tables, all of them were free when we were there. I appreciated that the tools plates and cups were real, not one-time plastic ones.
We ordered a large pizza and some olives, paid around 33 usd. The food arrived quite fast, the pizza was big, a lot of toppings, we managed to eat only half and asked for a box for the rest.
The pizza tasted great, olives as well.
The service was very friendly and helpful.
Overall, the place was great, I will come again.
