My family’s experience at Shane’s Rib Shack was perfectly average. The coleslaw tasted like the kind you would find at countless restaurants across the country. The onion rings lacked crispiness, and the fried okra was serviceable but not memorable. The buffalo chicken loaded fries were lackluster.
For a place with “ribs” in the name, Shane’s Rib Shack ribs themselves did not make much of an impression. They were comparable to what you might get at a casual chain such as Applebee’s or Chili’s. Acceptable, but far from standout.
Nothing we tried was bad, but nothing rose above ordinary either. The food was fine, just not particularly exciting or distinctive. Overall, it was a very middle-of-the-road dining experience.

Don’t call in to get BBQ by the pound, I ordered 4 pounds of chopped bbq and it came in 5 trays and toast nobody asked for nasty soggy bread ( Toast ) and had to put bbq in the oven to try and dry it out because its so greasy. WON’T BE BACK the pictures show the greasy paper that was under the bbq /// bbq shouldn’t be greasy

We love Shanes Rib Shack (Cleveland, TN) !!! We order food for our church small group about twice a month and they always get it right! It’s bagged and set aside for us when we arrive. We frequent this restaurant regularly—not only is the food delicious but the service is exceptional. Thank you, Shane’s, for serving our community so well.

Always get the loaded sandwich! Add a small amount of their BBQ sauce to the bottom of the sandwich for that perfect zing and you’ve got an awesome sandwich! And the fries! ZOMG! The fries are seasoned just right and not overcooked or overpowering. Perfect lunch today!

I ordered a salad with chicken. If I’m ordering a big salad, I expect more than four thin slices of cucumber, and a tablespoon of grated cheese on it. The lettuce itself was mostly the inner “core” and not the leafy greens. The ranch dressing and the chicken itself were fine. I won’t order this again.

Picked up a pound of pulled pork a couple minutes ago. It’s dry and cold! They literally put 4 sauce cups directly in my food! That is so unsanitary it’s actually disgusting. Not sure why I waited ten minutes for cold food? I was going to make nachos with it but I dont want to wreck my nachos I’m so confused why they put the sauce cups IN my food. Warehouses are dirty as well as the unlgloved hand that put them in there. I dont even have time to return it but I wanted a taste before I got home

I paid for 2 shack sauces. I didnt receive them or any sauce for my BBQ. I asked for a bun and received toast. The restaurant was closed when I received order.

This BBQ is drool-worthy. Loved the smokey flavor and clean dining room. Not only do they have sweet tea, they have Cleveland sweet tea (super sweet!!). Toast was fluffy and the mac and cheese paired well with pepper. The staff was patient and friendly.

Service is very slow at Shane’s in Cleveland. Took 25 minutes for burger and fry combos. There were 4 of us, we got there around 3:30 and no one else was there yet on a Friday. It was ok, we drove 15 miles just to eat there. We really miss the one in Ooltewah at Cambridge Square.
