We love Duck Donuts and used to frequent the NC location. Since we moved VA, this is our first time getting donuts from this location. The store was clean and not busy. The cashier was friendly when we placed our order. We couldn’t wait to devour these tasty treats. Once we got home, after biting into the donut it was very disappointing to have a few of the donuts still raw. The dough was not cooked in the middle. We ended up cutting most of the donuts in half to check the dough and had to throw 4 out of the 12 away due to it not being fully cooked. I haven’t cut the remaining 4 donuts yet but I’m hoping they are fully cooked. Not sure how this can happen since the store uses an automated machine to make the donuts.

Was excited to try Duck Donuts for the first time. Extremely disappointed. Donuts should not be flat. These were only about the height of my hand laid flat. The service was great, food was not unfortunately. My husband, who has had donuts from other locations in the past was even more disappointed. He said in the previously (granted at other locations) the Donuts were great. No wonder locations are closing. Very disappointed.

The concept is 5/5. Its great to eat fresh donuts out so no questions there. Donut Sundae cost is almost at 10 a piece which in my opinion is outrageous. Individual Donut cost is decent to be around 3 a piece and so on. Again the food is not concern here just the pricing is very expensive relatively in exchange with the novelty donuts and experiences.

I would say that the donuts are not bad but also they are not as good, basically they are plain donuts and they just add the flavor or topping as your order, they didn’t feel fresh though. I would give 4/5 but staff forgot my order as we were the only ones sitting on the place for nearly 20 mins before they noticed we were still waiting. The employees were arguing about who’s responsibility was to make the donuts and drinks. They are still better than Dunkin’ Donuts thought. Their frappe was kinda watery and I was slightly disappointed.

The kids that work at this location need training. 0 customer service skills. Had an online order and I came 30 mins after the pick up time because I know this store is slow – no one was in the store and my order wasn’t made yet. A customer walked out while I was waiting because she stood at the register for a solid 3-5 mins and no one greeted her. 3 kids were working and they all huddled around the dozen donuts I ordered, making them together, instead of assisting this lady. They also kept my receipt.

During my visit on Sunday, 10/05/2025, I noticed that the cashier or counter staff seemed a bit bothered or lacked enthusiasm about assisting us. While the donuts tasted okay, they felt somewhat repetitive—just the same donut with different toppings—and the prices seemed high for donuts that didn’t quite meet expectations. Overall, I was hoping for a more welcoming experience and better value.

Filthy hoodies and visible underwear on food service employees. Filthy floors. A 26-minute wait time for my party, even longer for other patrons, because they had to prepare dough. Sloppy environment with machines out of service and napkin dispensers empty. They need to clean the customer restroom and return the special restroom to the customers.

On Daddy daughter day my daughter loves our dates to be at this place for breakfast she wants a plain egg and a pink donut (pictured). The kids here want to charge me $13 I understand that the donuts are maybe $4 but a $9 egg circle is crazy and it’s literally for a baby REALLY!!!!! I had to take the best deal of $8 because my daughter really loves it….
