Authentic Mexican Street Tacos. Tuesday we serve Birria with consomme. Friday menu rotates and is posted on Instagram (@tacoaina). It rotates to include beef (Asada, Birria, Cheeks, Tongue,), pork (Al Pastor, Carnitas, Chilorio, Green Chorizo, Cochinita Pibil), fish (Baja Fried, Smoked Marlin, Ceviche), shrimp (Baja Shrimp, Governor’s Shrimp, Ceviche), and chicken (Tinga, Taquitos). Salsas are scratch. Tortillas are scratch. All taco ingredients are scratch and are made to order. All orders include a fresh pico, limes and grilled jalapeno. Taco price is $4.50 each. $12 plate lunch includes 2 tacos, rice, beans, and pico. Taco Aina hopes to bring a little piece of Mexico through scratch food to Keaau. We are priced for everyone.

Kiki is GREAT! Super friendly and you can tell she loves what she makes. Attention to detail in all of her food. And if you are looking for quesabirria tacos this is the BEST QUESABIRRIA TACOS on the island. Typically they are only served on Tuesdays though so be aware.

Tuesday is Birria Tacos and they are amazing. The augacate sauce or avocado salsa is tasty. The taco shell is crispy. Tastes just right. On Fridays they have seafood and other authentic meat favorites like lengua, cabeza, cachete, cochinita pibil, barbacoa, and others. I tried the chocolate chip chile cookie, which was interestingly yummy. Just the right amount of heat for a new but harmless experience.

Stopped by Taco Aina last Friday Jan 24 for delicious, authentic, tacos. I ordered the pork al castor taco and the baja fish taco. The pork taco was mind-blowing with the succulent marinated pork, and the delicious green sauce. The fish taco was golden brown, seared, tender, flaky mahi mahi expertly prepared with a flavorful white sauce. The taco plate was accompanied by tasty homemade brown beans and a pickled fruit relish. Yum yum!
As the sign on the Taco Aina advises, “This isn’t fast food, it is fresh food made as fast as possible.” The business owner, Kiki, is as friendly as can be. It is obvious that she is passionate about her tacos.
With the generous portions, incredible flavors, and prices that can’t be beat, this is a culinary experience that’ll have you coming back again and again! Believe me, It’s the real McCoy!
