I absolutely recommend this place to dine at. The food is made by request and not sitting on a hot plate or anything like that, it’s fresh. But the decorations on the inside? Oh it’s absolutely something to love. As a first time guest, I want to say I appreciate the family photos. It feels like they are sharing family and culture with us and it’s just an honor to be had. Finally, you are treated like a guest. I know some places are a bit less than that, but the folks at the counter were very kind. Take your time and enjoy things here OR you can order take out too. But either Way, you will have a good time.

First time trying yakitori, and I really like it!
We were greeted by a friendly older gentleman, and I basically ordered by pictures from reviews, I got 3 plates and 3 egg rolls for $35!
I usually give you guys the exact name if tge dish but today was hectic, and it was a random stop I wasn’t counting on. I will include pictures if the food and the uniqe and beautiful interior decor.

Got the Yakitori and gyoza lunch special. Everything was delicious and well made. It came out quickly and piping hot. It was a great deal, the quality and volume of food were both well above the price of the meal?

The oriental decor and the ambiance of this restaurant were very intriguing for me. There is no charge for imagination in this eatery. It can be the House of Yakitori, made feel of a house of somebody, or a gallery that serves food.
The owners are very nice and sincere people. I had the yakitori with the shrimp combo. Between the dynamic of grilled chicken (literally what yakitori means), fried shrimps and onion rings, cold salad, steamed rice, and flavorful sauces. I don’t know what else is more confusing yet pleasing to my palate. Although true Japanese cuisine requires precision and depth in culinary skills, for lunch, this restaurant is worth the bang of your buck!

This place is always on point. My family and I have always enjoyed coming here since I was young. That’s how consistently good they are.

This place is filthy, it even stinks when you walk in. The guy with the bad teeth at the front counter has a very nasty attitude. The Yakatori is full of fat and even had some bone chunks in it. Avoid this place at all costs. Go to the one up on Briargate it’s clean, has great service and delicious food.

Best food in town. Addicting. Local hot spot must go. Been going since I was a baby with my parents and have continued.

Every time I visit home from Illinois I must eat at a Yakitori. It is delicious every time! This is the original restaurant I used to eat at as a kid until they moved to this location. As an adult I followed them to this location and now can only eat there when I visit. I miss it. My heart literally glows when I pull up at this spot. I usually get the seafood and sides of hen skewers. I’m glad they survived COVID shut down season !

Food is usually great. Tatsuta has been grizzly lately. Inside needs a good cleaning. Briargate location much better and cleaner.
