Wnet up back to NY for the first time in 4 years. The first thing I had to do was get real pizza and this was the spot. My flight got in at midnight and I went straight for pizza, at the Ditmars location. Man was it amazing. Perfect crunch amazing flavor nice and thin, just the perfect way to start a weekend in NY.

I’ve always walked by and finally decided to try! I loved the decor and I went in the night and there was only one customer eating but everytime I’ve walked by the pizzeria is always busy! I got insight from one of the staff members about certain slices and they all looked wayyyy too good! My brother went with a regular slice and I went with one of their famous grands slices, pepperoni slices and garlic knots. I enjoyed the pizza but I was disappointed when I got my garlic knots and they weren’t even warmed up. I didn’t even get to enjoy them when I sat down to eat them. Next time I go I will def. dine in and enjoy more of their slices! Till next time!

The pizza slices are good, but the chicken roll is very subpar. A mush of cheese and tiny, barely discernible chicken cubes. No marinara sauce. Not the traditional breaded chicken you get in traditional NYC pizzerias. If in Astoria, there are far better options nearby.

Champion always delivers great pizza , service, and vibes. Grab a slice and stay a while. I love the prices but the food is awesome as they are organic and use the best quality ingredients for their products.

I’ve been ordering for years and never really went in the store. I order chicken rolls quite a bit and they don’t cook the chicken with the sauce in the chicken roll and give it on the side because someone complained about cutting it in half and getting dirty. So they stopped putting sauce in the chicken rolls.
I tell the dude who I am and he knew exactly the place and the orders. This has been going on for as long as the store has been there
I tell him and he tells me I should ask for sauce. Dude why do I have to remember for you to cook something the way it’s supposed to be cooked? I can’t even tell you how many times they forgot to send the cold sauce on the side. I don’t want to have to deal with remembering to tell someone to cook something the way it’s supposed to and then the dude accuses me of yelling at him. No dude that was me being aggravated with you gaslighting me like I’m a moron or something. Just cuz some hippie from Ohio got a little sauce on their beanie.
Now I’ll just order from a place that knows how to make chicken rolls and not order from there again. Have a good one guys.

I recently ordered a chicken roll from this place, and I have to say, I was really disappointed. The size of the roll has noticeably gone down since the last time I ordered, and to make things worse, the food arrived cold. The sauce container was barely filled halfway — it felt like they were cutting corners everywhere.
On top of that, the guy at the counter had terrible customer service. He acted like I was bothering him just by placing an order, which really put me off. Overall, not worth the money or the hassle. Definitely expected better.

Good pizza in Astoria. Regular was pretty good but the Truffle Mushroom was elite! The fresh mushrooms, the truffle oil & Boy oh boy, that crunch was everything! Open late with a plethora of pizza options to choose from.
