I just had La Potranca today, and I just have to say this place is a hidden gem!As always the food was absolutely amazing and so authentic to Hispanic culture. I ordered the Crazy Rice with three meats, and every bite was bursting with flavor periodt. I also had the chicken, and steak pupusas. love, love, LOVE!
The owner, Ms. Yamilette, is phenomenal. She personally came out to check on us and made sure everything was perfect. Her hospitality is always just as memorable as the food. I’ll definitely be going back (even though I’ve already been there like 20 times ). This is my favorite restaurant and I hope y’all bring your family to enjoy it as well.

Tried the pupusas (steak) and pastor taco at Taco Wars and was HIGHLY disappointed. Absolutely no flavor on either dish. I honestly can’t believe they would enter a single thing they serve in a competition. I would give it zero stars if I could.

The place is a hidden oasis among a crazy section of Bossier. Its decor is what you expect of a Mexican restaurant but it is small and genuine feeling. The food was delicious. Top notch and authentic so not just texmex trays that were reheated. Ordered Pupusas And birria tacos. These plates were both excellent. Large portions and flavorful. I usually go for a safe choice of enchiladas but so glad I went for something new. Seriously try something off your regular. It will be worth it. There is a bar and it looks pretty inclusive. I didn’t have a drink but it’s an option if you want.

The food was great, I ordered the menudo and probably the best menudo I’ve ever ate. Only issue I had was when I got my bill I was looking at it and my total was 36$ and change . But then it said “added gratuity” and my total ended up being $45 . So I guess the waitress (young girl with colored hair) just tipped herself before I gave her a tip. No where does it say they automatically take what they want they just did it .
