The service was quick, and both times me drink was exactly what I wanted!
The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. On my second visit, a regular customer had spilled his drink. He was in line willing to buy another, but the staff insisted on remaking the drink. That’s loyalty and service beyond normal, and it spoke volumes to me about the value of regulars.
I look forward to visiting this location again the next time I am in Lafayette.
we will be back very morning on this vacation of ours!
And that’s the crux of my issue, sometimes CC’s is BETTER THAN THE BEST OF EM but sometimes it’s REALLY DISAPPOINTING. Idk about y’all, but my gourmet coffee budget isn’t too big, so if I’m splurging on a rare treat, I NEED it to be consistently good. My poor little heart can’t take the disappointment! That’s why I typically go to different coffee shops around Lafayette that I KNOW will deliver. I love you CC’s. I know you get busy. But come on man.
In the first instance, instead of handing me the card reader as usual, the cashier loudly asked, “Are you leaving a tip today?” I typically do leave a tip, but the way it was asked felt inappropriate and made me uncomfortable.
On another visit, I was picking up a few items using my husband’s card, and the cashier remarked, “You don’t look like a Tom” (name changed for privacy). While I understand they may have been trying to make conversation, it came off as unprofessional.
As someone who works in management and places a high value on customer service, these encounters stood out. The employees were not rude, but the approach and tone lacked professionalism. I’m not sure what changes have been made in staffing, but I hope customer service becomes a priority again
